so far its up in the air!

the tuning and modding results the evo 10 is looking like it just might be able to hold its own!

i think the the 2 major things are

1. -the evo 10 engine is a new aluminum bottom end and everyone had the mindset that it wont b able to hold HP well w/o being sleeved,
- the tranny is a new tranny for the 6 speed sst and the evo has been manual threw out its history and its been a peoples car and supposed to have the one with the car feeling and people think that that tranny is gonna take that away and make thats generic, and also the trannys in japan havent been known for holding HP and they go into a limp mode and start to lag
- the new ecu is a little harder to crack and is more integrated into the car and it makes things a little harder to tune on its own w/o a piggy back ecu unlike the old evo which can be tuned on its own like its a stand alone.

2. the 4g63 has been around sense 1982 which makes this engine about 25 years old and has alot of history behind it

4g63 engine applications

mitsubishi:
starion N/A and turbo 4g63
galant vr-4
colt
eclipse gs-t/gsx also N/A 4g63
evolution 1-9

Eagle:
talon Tsi

Plymoth:
Laser

so ya alot of OG 4g63 owners love this engines long history and whats its accomplished and how far the engine has come to arguable be the best 4 cylinder Forced induction engine ever made and i guess we feel like the new 4B11 evo10 engine is kinda killing a legacy

to ya thats my essay on the 4B11
