Default Testament to Chrysler's Product Reliability

1995 Dodge Neon purchased at 82K miles. Tuned up with new plugs, filter, PCV and hose, Mobil 1 syn and Redline MTL.

82K miles - Spark plug wires arcing, replaced with MSD wires.
84K miles - Shifter bushing failure at the trans.
86K miles - Timing belt pulley failure, timing belt failure. Valves & guides replaced and lapped, heads resurfaced, Fel Pro MLS HG, new Good Year timing belt and idler pulleys.
86K miles - Window regulator cracked, repaired.
87K miles - Shifter bushing failure at the shifter.
87K miles - Manual transaxle failure, replaced with 97 SOHC trans.
89K miles - AC system failure, serviced.
90K miles - Speedo gear fell off inside of transmission, speedometer failure.
91K miles ??? (No way to tell) - Shifter cable failure.
91K miles ??? - AC system failure, serviced.
92K miles ??? - Starter and solenoid failure, replaced.
92K miles ??? - Trans strut failure.
92K miles ??? - Breather hose cracked, replaced.
94K miles ??? - Overheating issues - Replaced thermostat with a 180, flushed system.
94K miles ??? - AC system failure.
94K miles ??? - Idle issues. Cleaned throttle body.
95K miles ??? - Starter wire failing, arcing.
95K miles ??? - Durable HIGH PRESSURE PLASTIC fuel fitting failure, SPRAYS GAS ALL OVER HOT ENGINE WITH A NICE FINE MIST... Finals, no time for Dodge. Time to rely on my 32 year old Chevrolet.

But hey, it was smooth sailing for almost 2K miles at some points.
