I wish I would have bought the 185's.

Before Eric adds heads, cam, intake, etc. he will need to rebuild the short block because it has 187,000 miles on it. It still runs great but I wouldn't add those things until he has a fresh short block. I use to have an 88 GT that I bought with 189,000 miles on it. I drove it until it had over 230,000 and then sold it when I bought the Cobra. I sold it to a friend and he drove it for two more years before selling it. The 5.0 is a good engine.

It won't cost that much to rebuild the short block and add new Probe SRS pistons. That way he can run any head he wants as long as it is CARB legal. Same goes for the cam. He'll be driving the car a lot on the street so I won't let him add anything to it that isn't 50 state legal. That's the way I built the Cobra so I know he can get a lot of power out of it and still be legal.
Sounds good

Ron, do you know what the difference in flow rate between the 165's and the 185's are? How much power do you think you'd gain if you stepped up?
