Autocross, where to begin?
I'm seriously considering doing some autocross next year but have no idea where to start. Anyone got any advice on this?

Start your car and avoid the cones. Speedventures has one this up coming weekend and Adams does it every thursday. Go drive and adjust from there.

lol I got that. I'm going to hold off till next year so that I can get some last minute work done on my car. Speedventures looks good. Thanks

Adams is a great place to learn. Not fast, highly technical,

Riding with Ron was cool, no more batshit than I drive :sm_laughing: |
I could only do low 50s with my Grand Prix mostly do to the tire barrier on the back straight, just a little narrow for my car.

I know this is old but bringing it back.
Come on Ben I was just goofing around when you road around Adams with me. You know it was fun sliding a little. When Guy and I did the Roval I didn't goof around at all but I did run my fastest time when he wasn't in the car. Going into turn 1 at 150mph is a little different of a feel than coming up to the tire chicane at 80-90 at Adams. Darkstar, the autocross through Speedventures is great. Take your car out there and see what it does then build it from there. The nice thing about the autocross over at California Speedway is they set it up so you can do most courses completely in 2nd gear and they are not hard on brakes. |
