Mustang/ Explorer guys

What would you fill an 8.8 LSD with? Royal Purple recommended a 75w 90, but I've also been told that 90 is too light and the diff won't survive, and that we should use a 75w 140.

I just did a quick search on SVTP for you, but didn't find any useful information

I'm running 75-90 in the Cobra, Explorer and the Chevelle.

I think the manual recommends 75W140 but I have heard from people that, like Ron, run 75W90.

Ran 75-90 in the 94's 8.8 for years, never a problem at all. Think its fairly standard practice with the performance set, TBH.

Go with what the manufacture specifies. A 75W-90 should work fine in a Ford. They have good diff fluids, used it in my Supra before I went with Redline.
