Rack

Well I'm headed to Death Valley next month and I need to do a few things to get my truck up to spec.

Project number one is a roof rack. I'll need it large enough to hold sleeping supply's, lights, gas, water that kind of stuff.

I can just buy one but a good one would run me a few hundred bucks. So i'll just build it. :D

I have wires run in the rack for 12 lights, 5 in the front, 2 on each side, and 3 in the back.
I still need to finish up the wiring in the little back area but it's all mounted on :D

So far I have 80 bucks in metal, paint, plugs, wires and what not. and about 2 weeks of after work time spent in it.

Are you going to weld on some caps to the ends of the bars so you dont get moisture inside?

I want to build something like that for my Explorer. Where did you pick up the square tubing?
