Turbo Fords, SVO Mustang and Thunderbird

Anybody have one of these or know much about them. I'm kinda curious, maybe a future project car. With all the great modern aftermarket turbo goodies I bet we could make a pretty gnarly one for not a whole lot of money.

The SVO is a turbo 2.3 4cyl. I believe they can be made to be pretty quick for not too much money. They're tough to track down though.

I know some of the last body style came with the m112 s/c.

SVO is the way to go. 2.3 turbo 4 cyl. 15lb boost max, it has toggle switch for switching octane and advancing timing. Downpipe, exhaust, fmic, boost controller, and la3 computer from turbocoupe. Your looking at a 13 sec car with good rubber. Comes stock with adjustable konis. Great car and really good platform if you can find one. I had one for a year, and would stomp on alot of 5.0's and i would get 30 mpg on the freeway.

LS1Adam84 had a T-Bird TurboCoupe... Made 155/235 or something like that on the CMS dyno @ 15 lbs of boost on the stock engine/turbo, and I think the next person who owned it was running mid 10s at Irwindale with it. It had more or less the same thing that was put into the SVO Mustangs. Stock they are dogs for having a turbo, but they're supposed to be great with mods. I have a buddy named Ivan that lives practically right around the corner from Ben and has a clean SVO Mustang that he uses as a DD who could probably help you out if you have any questions.

Thanks for the info. I'm mostly just curious. Could be a cool future project car, a little peculiar, but not sooo expensive to make into something entertaining maybe.
