Sorry buddy - I've been meaning to call you. My hookup has been finishing his semester and it's hard to get a hold of him. He's done now. I'll check with him today to see if we can get it handled this week.

Is this primarily a visual problem, or would it fail the sniffer in CA? If it's just a visual issue, I can PM you.

Pretty sure it won't pass the sniffer... its a jspec motor with a straight through 4inch burns stainless exhaust...it was a show car so it has no cats and id rather not drop money on adding them and retuning plus hacking up an expensive exhaust doesn't sound like too much fun :-( . I know you have been bizy sean its no biggy I just didn't want to be buggin you man with all the stuff you got with the fam at the moment id just like to have plates on it by the next meet since the talon is currently down id need to bring out the mr2. As allways I appreciate the help guys.

Just FYI. If you get caught running on the streets without cats in a car that's supposed to have them it's like $7,500 . . . per missing cat, or something crazy like that. We have increasing enforcement, including random road side checks. I'd be mighty careful if I were you.

Yah I know its a big fine...but id give a shiney nickle to anyone that could tell just by looking that an mr2 didn't have a cat since the engine bay is #1 in the back #2 small as hell and #3 less than 2 inches off the ground. I don't plan on doin a bunch of motor work to it anyways its 250 hp stock on the jspec motor with the toyota b20 turbo and its only 2600 lbs I just plan to leave it on stock internals and drive it daily. It sounds smooth and stockish it doesn't scream "I'm pushin 500 hp!" . Lol. Thanks for the heads up though I thought it was still 2500 for the fine...good old california...a 76 chevy can run open heads and put out 4 times the emissions than my 4 banger and be 2times as loud but its ok because its old it is legal.
