C3R Concept
Ok. If Chevy goes this direction for a C7, I just might have to go for it.

Blue with white stripe for me. Get the interior right and push the lightness, overall balance and refinement without losing the ballsy American rip your face off attitude.
|
What really catches my attention about this is the re-proportioning. I love my 82' C3, but it's a touch long on the front. If I were to reshape it, it would be like this.
The rear window is a separate question. This has the earlier C3 "Italian" style back instead of the later style fast back. I think it looks great in this rendering. |
Don't need the rear chrome bumper. Chrome on the front should be more of a hint rather than a statement. Obviously no pop-up headlights. Should be integrated into the fenders, perhaps something like the Sideswipe vette.

I get the impression you might like this version.;)
Hey, you want to go talk to Dick G? |

I've spoken to Dick a few times (on the phone and in person). They did the rear wheel bearing setup and spherical bushing installation for my trailing arms. He's a very nice old man. If you just ran into him on the street you'd never know he was a no BS bad ass race driver and capable system designer. They liked my LSx C3. |
I'll be honest, coming into the thread i was already disapproving. I couldn't picture the C3's lines put into a modern context.
After seeing it I am impressed. I would tone down the rear deck lid, get rid of the crhome, and ditch the gills and scoops tho. |
Chrome needs to go, front end needs to be less 69 vette like and more nascar like. I like the gills, sort of breaks up the body.
The rear bumper could be a little less tall too. I'd like it if it came up higher like it does on a C3. |
