So I went to look at two old cars today

One was a 61 T-Bird in so-so shape.
The other one was a 1974 Ferrari 365 (GT4/2+2) in showroom condition.
24,000 miles, and flawless. I almost crapped when she offered me commision to sell it for her. (Wanna guess what my reply was?)LOL
Pictures are in my album.:D

That's awesome - you should buy it :D

Where do you go to sell something like that, something like the DuPont Registry?

I couldn't afford the tags and license.

Sell? I have to find the right buyer, and it will take some time. Luckily, she is in no hurry, and willing to do the right thing. IE, let me service it/detail it, and research it.
There were 470 of these made over 4 years, most came to the US, and only 2 German Verts. Is it rare, or is it desirable? I just don't know yet. I have feelers out all over the U.S. already, and have some more people to check with. Most of the people I DID know that had these things have passed on. (Dammit)
Post a pic of the engine. It looks like a nightmare to me. DO Twin cam V-12, fuel injected plumbers nightmare.:suicide:

Bird,

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I post on this Ferrari forum from time to time and they seem to be a nice group overall. Here is a link to the 365 specific section. You probably know all of this already, but I just thought I'd pass it along in case it helps :drink:

I forgot his name, but the owner of F40 Motorsports sees to be one of the super Ferrari specialists. He buys and sells.

My mom's cousin is (was?) a Ferrari engine mechanic. Very interesting quiet fellow, working out in the woods in Wisconsin.

Thank you Sean. I joined this morning to get some more input. I learned already the engine is from a 1983 400I, because it is injected. I ASSUME this will greatly devalue the car. The original engine had 6 DOCE carbs.:bang:

Thank you Ben. I have e-mailed him this AM.

My professor friend at CSUF wrenched on them in the 70's as well.

I wonder if Vince, his father, or the museum would be interested. Sean, maybe you can question Vince to see if they show any interest.

Question, why is she looking to sell?

PS - Anyone got Jay Lenos email....someone drop him a line JK

That's too bad - is their any possibility the owner kept the original carbs in a box somewhere?

I think the museum is more into the Ferrari supercars. As I recall they have two F50's, an F40, etc.
