Your ultimate bastard vehicle

Any car, any power plant. What would you mix? There are plenty of cool vehicles with less then stellar engines. Hot rodding has been bastardizing cars for a long time now, how would you do it?

My ultimate bastard vehicle would be a gunmetal nsx with an LS7.

There's a bunch probably. But your choice would probably be my No. 1 as well actually. The NSX is a brilliant platform, and the engine wasn't bad (cutting edge in its day), but it's limp compared to what's available now.

Its a civic motor, and is the only thing keeping that car from being an absolute monster.

That's a good choice. These are some of the ones I've thought about. Obviously these are not my ultimate choice but ones I've wanted to build over the years.

1970-72 Vega GT with an LS3 built for the road course.

1976 Mercury Capri Hatchback with a centrifugal blown 331 SBF also built for the road course.

1970-1971 Ford Maveric with a cetrifugal blown 393 SBF again built for the road course.

I have a bunch of them actually. Here's another one. Old 240z with a BMW 5.0 V10 (a la M5).

No such thing as a V6 civic. But whatever it was that motor wasn't cutting edge. It was a faggy 270hp. I jerk off with more torque than that.

I'll take an LS9 & T56 in a Solstice with a factory warranty! Thaaanks. Oh ya, I'd color match the headlights too.

I am also very much a fan of putting a Cobra engine with a Mendeola in the back of a Ranger with long travel control arm suspension. I would lovvve to do a wheelie in a prerunner at an intersection.

Not a Ranger, but I wouldn't complain.

Single turbo 2JZ in an S2000, or the classic LS in an RX7 will also blow my skirt up.

Shaolin Crane 12-19-2011 09:11 PM

You aint gonna do a wheelie at any street light. Just not gonna happen.

Vettezuki 12-19-2011 10:22 PM

Almost forgot. I've always kinda wanted a Studebaker Starliner. Black with Scarlet red interior, nice stereo and a good ride. Don't need a whole lotta power, something a little more refined and smooth like a northstar or maybe Coyote
