Good heims won't wear out with daily driving. I'm running heims on my steering and the cheap heims I used to have wore out really fast. The good ones that I replaced them with have been on there for a year or so and don't show any signs of wear yet.

I would just stay away from the red truck and keep looking.

Steering heims will see less wear than main suspension component heims. Every bump, turn, shudder, and accel/decel cycle will actuate and load/unload the heim leading to faster wear. No question higher quality and rebuildable heims will last longer, but heims in general will be much more of a headache on a daily driven truck than regular old leafs.

Anyways...... My uncle is wanting to get rid of his 1985 Silverado.. .. The one with the corvette engine. It runs he just doesn't drive it. He going to retire from driving when his license expires in 2 years. He's retiring because he's old and he's long retired from work. He just wants someone to drive him around in his old age nowadays. lol.

I have pics that I can send.
