I'm a prick.
:D :laugh: |
For the record I like Miatas, but they are easy targets.

8.8's are not that heavy. IRS are usually alot heavier. the 8.8 is some 80lbs lighter than the IRS in the 2009 cobras. I agree that it will be heavier than the miata's rear end, but probably not that much. What the reason for dropping the 8.8 in? Is there a small block comming in the future?
Miata's are adorable little cars. I have an ex girlfriend that had one. |
Yeah, the IRS in the Cobra is definitely very heavy. I've heard it's even like 100lbs more. If they made a rear wheel drive LS7 MX-5 with an 8.8 solid rear - I'd be all over it.

I saw the WHOLE thing.:rolling::rolling::rolling: |
I know it's not that heavy, it was meant as a joke. But has anybody actually seen a diff on a Miata? I feel like I could make enough torque with my legs pedaling to break that diff, on the first gens at least.

Miatas are gay. There, I said it. Mainly on the principle that they are so close to being so cool. But no, Mazda couldn't pull it off. :(

There's a big difference in appearance between the early ones and the current MX-5s. My wife has one it's the best handling car I've ever driven. |
