Get'n a truck, look'n for a trailer.

So through some serendipitous good fortune I'm getting a truck, more or less for free. Since I have a tendency to break things when I drive the Vette hard, maybe a simple trailer for a hauling to and from events would be cool. Who are the makers? What are the price ranges? Not looking for anything enclosed with a jacuuzi or nothing, just a simple flat bed trailer, maybe a little storage. I'd definitely want one with its own brakes (if that's even an option). Anyway, please to advise.

I'll ask some of the buick guys I have a suspicion they are quiiitee pricey.....by the way if you trailer a 13 second car to the track I'm going to laugh my ass off...hell even a 12 second car! That would be some serious ricer shit! Just my opinion, haha I'm so going to break something at the track now....

As you may recall, my last outing resulted in the following:

Needless to say, it got trailered home. However, it's not really for the drags so much, but eventually I'd like to go road racing at places like Button Willow, Willow Springs and places even further. I can't afford a tow-in or to be stuck out in places like that. And if we go out in groups to the drags . . . trust me, we won't always be able to drive home. One trailer could be useful for the group.

Anyway, it's not a big pressing issue. My research so far suggests entry level pices for a very basic trailer would be about $1,200. A Gucci sled type, but still open, runs about $6k. Enclosed trailers are a whole other level.

PS You know as well as I do that Fontana transforms 12 second cars into 13 second cars. Compare this 60' against 1/4 ET-MPH. Do the math.

I'll only approve if you trailer the truck on the trailer with your vette to the track! :D

Well, the Vette's got considerably more power and a stout frame so it's certainly doable. I was actually thinking at one time of having a small equipment trailer pulled by the Vette.
