Yamaha Sports Car

This thing looks like it's pretty cool and that it might actually go into production and be a serious little sports car. Unfortunately, not likely to come to the states. :(

That's not a bad looking little car.

Put the 500HP Yamaha V8 in that 1,600~lb car and you'd have a monster!

Holy ancient member Batman!

Yeah, me too, but in their defense I'm not sure there is as much of a market for the small upper end sports car here as there is in Europe. If it's Corvette type money, it better be Corvette ballpark territory for total performance (can trade off better handling for less straight line speed), but then you'd have to ask why a person would get that instead of Lotus, which is already here. It would be niche at best, and bring cars to the US is nucking fits crazy expensive. We have most of the strictest regulations in the world for safety and emissions.

Been a long time I know. I found my old college laptop and was browsing my bookmarks. I forgot this was at the top of my list.

I understand politics will run it's course against Yamaha but perhaps they can find a way. They have strong ties with manufacturers such as Toyota as well as Lotus if memory serves. Could be the open door they need to export.

Not a back looking rear 3/4 of the car. Can not say I care much for that heavily tapered front end.
