Looking for a wider tire
Just had my fenders rolled and I was looking for a 315 that'll fit an 18" rim. I wanted to try the new Nittos NT05s, but the only make a 295 18. Car is a daily driver and will be driven when it rains. The BFG 315s look like they'd have no traction when they're wet and I don't wanna die on the freeway when it rains.
Any one have any good suggestions? I'm running a Kumho Ecsta Mx 295 right now. Mark |

It's the 18x10 deep dish fr500. I thought you could get a 315 on a 10 inch rim.

I think that if you run a tire that wide your bank account is gonna take a large hit. Who did your rolling? The guy on OCHP? I have wanted to do it. My tires very slightly rub when I compress the suspension completely.

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ps-rolled.html His car was at RET the same time mine was and he just did it while it was on the rack there. Nice guy and did a great job for only $40. I think the 295s I've got right now are around $240 / tire....I wouldn't mine paying a little more than that for 315s. If I can't find a decent one, I may just go with the 295 NT05s....they're not too pricey. Mark |
That is the same guy who I saw on Orange County Horsepower. I think that if We can get a few people in the OC to get this done he would come to us. I have been thinking about doing it to mine.
I have 295 Nitto INVOs in the rear and like them. According to Nitto's site they are almost as good in dry performance and have a better wear rating (same W rating). They also look different and I like that. |
