More Smog fun
 

My buddy took his '07 Mustang GT to get smoged and they told him "no Way" he has to take off the TB, CAI, Shorty headers, X-pipe (has the factory cats) and the mufflers that they are all Illegal in our wondeful state.
Any one have any ideas or am I doomed to help him remove it all

Go to a different smog shop. Mufflers aren't a smog device, sounds like bitchy smog techs.

That's what I told him too

If they have the carb stickers then he is fine.

Good news he took it some where else and she passed

Its so sad that they care about anything else besides if it pass's the sniffer.

the smog guy even commented that it was the cleanest (running) Mustang he's seen in a long time

I speak from experience on this.

I love the smog industry. It is the only public service industry where you pay somebody $$$ and pray they do a half azzed- crappy job !!
