October 23rd Ortega Highway/Tommy's Burgers Run

EDIT: Vettezuki

Here's a little video of a fly by and walk around. Someday I'll get this right.

Here's some in car video from Leedom. Not a lot of action but a little flavor of what the run looks like at the beginning.

A vdi from Redono Jon.

Here's the album.

Here's a couple selected photos.

Have to say the Challenger is the best of the retro stylings.

Love that Subie blue.

YES!

This Nismo is a beautiful car. I'd like to drive one someday.

================
OP
It's time for another cruise everyone. Here's the plan:

Meet at the shopping center in San Juan Capistrano at 4:15p.m. Use the address below as a reference:

27324 Ortega Hwy
San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

We will depart for Ortega Hwy at 4:45p.m. We're going all the way though and then stopping at the grocery store directly at the end of Ortega. The address for the store is:

15887 Grand Ave
Lake Elsinore, CA 92530

We should arrive at the store right around 5:15p.m. if anyone wants to meet us on the Lake Elsinore side. At 5:45p.m. we'll depart from the store and head back through Ortega again. The sun is going to set at 6:08, so it should be twilight and a really nice drive. Once we get back through Ortega we're going to hop on the 5 North and head to El Toro Road. There is a Tommy's Burgers right off the freeway that we can eat at. I've never been to one before, but I've heard great things. With any luck (assuming we run on time for once), we should hit the restaurant right about 6:30-45ish.

It should be a great time and Ortega is a great drive. I know there is a UFC fight that night, and it starts at 7. Anyone that wants to just bug out after the cruise to go watch the fight is of course welcome to do so. Lesnar is going to smash Cain for the record ;)

Here is the full route.

See you all the 23rd :drink:

Definitely. Cain is just too small IMHO to hang with Brock.

Brock and I say Fuds in place of Tommy's. Tommy's is D grade at best.

We are talking about a high speed run, through the mountains, with rock walls on one side, sheer drop off on the other, and your worried about a "D" grade burger ??:jester::jester::jester:

We do Fudds all the time, and they aren't that great either. 8 bucks for a burger you make yourself:bang: It is a nicer place with better parking though.
