Moved to Riverside N Stuff
 

Gents,

A major reason I've been somewhat absent low key for the last several months is that I moved to Riverside and I've had some huge projects at work, plus the small business, so simply zero time.

It's settling down slightly. Might want to do a small cruise or some other casual MG OG event before winter comes for real.

Don't know if you know, but Nicks is long gone. Been fenced up for a while. It was a great location. Especially from where I lived before! It can be tough to find a place where you can just hang without being harassed by either local biz or the popo. Never had a problem at Nicks.

Covina In N Out is like that, every thursday dozens of hotrods show up and everyone chills in the lot.

Yeah I knew Nicks was closed. :( You’re right; it’s changeling to find somewhere cool, safe, etc. to hang out & just shoot the breeze. I suppose people are worried about “something happening.” Can’t really blame them though the world’s a goofy place some times.

At 0.7 acres it's enough to fart around on and enjoy.

Amazing amount of land for essentially being in the city. In fact, it's basically the only one in Riverside. But the owners were playing games and wouldn't meet our reasonable offer. Well, until we were in close of escrow on our place they wouldn't, but by then it was too late. Ah well, probably for the best in the big picture. Where we are is an overall nicer and safer area, house and land less expensive, so nothing to complain about.

0.7 is a decent sized lot. I'm only on .151. What size house and is it 1 or 2 stories.

It's enough to keep me busy, but not enough (probably), especially with the HOA, to plant things like Sequoia. :judge:

It's just under 2,200 square feet and two stories. Almost twice the size of house we had in Fullerton. Because we keep all our rescue bunnies inside, it was getting a bit cramped at 1,200. Now it's plenty comfortable and with room for family to visit. It's up in "The Orchard" tract south of the 91 up La Sierra, relatively close to Lake Matthews. Very nice, mostly middle aged established folks, so very quiet and safe, which is nice as I have to travel kind of a lot and I didn't like leaving my wife alone in Fullerton sometimes, though I never had a problem.

I grew up in Norco so I'm familiar with the IE (from the olden times!). And honestly I like the city of Riverside, the whole downtown area is actually pretty interesting with as much or more going on than OC really. It is a very underrated city.

Ping me when you're down towards your mom. Depending on traffic, only about 30 minutes from there, maybe less.

I am going to miss stopping by the house, to help you out, when you get a car problem that has you stumped! Glad you found a spot that works for you two.

You can spend the extra time helping me with my Vette if it makes you feel better. Im a generous guy like that :p
