Super Cruise Feeler. Chime In!

Hey guys. Im always looking on Google Earth for cool local places to drive and nice canyons to carve. I know there has to be some other nuts like me out there so I got an idea today. A super canyon carving cruise. The route would be San Gabriel Cyn Rd (Hwy39) to Angeles Crest Hwy, here would be a good break point to let the cars cool and stretch. Then ACH all the way down to Wrightwood, here I was thinking we could stop at a cool little biker stop for pizza and a cold one. After this take ACH to 138 to the 15 and head home. It will be a long all day thing since we would cross the San Gabriel Mountain range so an early start would be best. I still have to map out the mileage and this drive wouldnt be untill the snow melts and ACH is re-opened, hopefully by June. If my estimates are correct the from the La Verne area to Wrightwood would be around 65-70mi on this route but if you have Google Earth follow my directions and look at the pictures along the route. There are a lot of beautiful scenes to look at. So, what do you guys think? Just seeing if anyone else would be willing to do this. I'll try to drive the route hard when I can and safely of course, but everyone is welcomed, fast-normal-or slower drivers. We cant drive the whole route balls out without running out of gas or our cars blowing up so Im sure a nice group would be able to stay together. Let me know your opinions.

Wow, that long of a run huh? Looking forward to it, if not, we'll plan it.

Our first event was a moonlight run to Lake Perris, down to Elsinore and back...That was long too . :yikes:

You mean this one? I had the tops off and it was a bit cold too. But fun!

I wouldn't mind a longer cruise. Or a night cruise during the summer.

The Mulhollan cruise could be done at night. As I think further on this it will probably be really nice at night. The last time I did this was about 1 in the morning. Looking for a race up there.

I am up for a cruise. I am thinking about heading up to San Luis Obisbo. This is an all day cruise. I may stop over.

With enough advance notice, I'd be game. I've done a night-time cruise w/ SVTOA that started in SD and included over two hours of back-country driving that got us to the 8 Freeway out by Ocotillo Wells, after which we drove over an hour to get home.

I like the night run idea!
