New Rock Sliders
So i just finished up making my rock sliders for my 93 trooper.
They are going to be welded to the frame not bolted on. It's .120 wall tubing so they should be strong enough I slanted the edge Still need one more layer of paint and they will be ready to install. |
Nice!

Thank you.
What is really nice about them is that they only stuck out about 2 - 3 inches past the body. So it gives a nice little lip to step on but not large enough to break your leg when your getting out. I really don't want to weld upside under my truck. I always burn myself when I do that. |
Just make sure the frame is really clean and that you have the heat set right. I played with the settings on mine until I got it right and now it doesn't have any splatter so even upside down goes smoothly.

I hate welding upside down too, i always set my goatee on fire.

Looking good John!

I think they cam out really well. I still have to do the passenger side but that will get done today. |
They look good. Now get a picture of the side of the truck.

I need to permanently re-install my flairs but that will happen this weekend but here is a pick of the side of my truck.
I'll grab a pick from the front as well during lunch. |
