Hi everyone, My name is Jesse and I live in Oceanside. I drive a 1993 VR Mazda RX-7. I like to drag race, but I want to start taking my car to track days to get some laps in. I haven't been to any of the meets that this forum organizes. I also post on rx7club.com. :drink:

Welcome. There are al lot of third gen RX-7 fans here.

Vettezuki 08-09-2009 10:17 PM

Welcome aboard. Hope to see you out some time.

We've got a 13B out of a 87FC that needs a rebuild and I just might keep around for death cart project. :pot_stir:

Thanks, That would be pretty cool. FC's are a great platform for every type of racing.

Gorgeous!

I really like the pulley kit. It's very clean looking. How much power is your setup putting up?

R3AL.CH1CK3N 08-09-2009 11:01 PM

Right now i am making 301hp to the wheels @ 12psi with water injection. My wastegate spring is the only thing holding me back as of now. As soon as i save enough money for another tune, i will install the new spring and boost around 20psi with water/meth mix.

Welcome to the board. Nice looking car. How much power are you expecting with the increased boost when done?

Vettezuki 08-10-2009 12:10 AM

Sorry about the pics blowing out the posts. It's in the works.

How about forgetting the water/meth and going straight for E-85 (unless this is any kind of daily driver). You could run more like 30 psi. :pot_stir:

We have a user whose done an E85 tune for his Evo and he only melted one engine during the learning process and InjectorsPlus, could hook you up with just about any injector imaginable. . . you would need very big ones.

i should be expecting close to 450hp with a water/meth mix at around 20psi

yeah, this is my daily driver..lol. I am considering e85, but i'm waiting for funds to be saved. I also want to be sure that fueling stations are available.

Do FDs usually shoot flames out the back like that. :smack:

nope, that was early in the drivability tuning and the deceleration injector cutoff setting on my power fc was off. all the flames you will see now are on the first part of the vid. Although, RX-7's usually waste more gas than normal cars, i have (2) 850cc primaries and (2) 1300cc secondaries, when it was untuned it would shoot massive flames.
