New Ford GT

This means there will be two genuine American production hyper-cars in 2017, the C8 Vette and the Ford GT. Best time for cars ever. No comparison.

Looks sorta like a Mclaren, but still sexy as fuck.

I like it a lot but I wish they would have put a twin turbo V8 in it. A V6 GT40 is just wrong.

They are going for ultra crazy light weight I think, if I read it right. The Vette is going to have a TT V8 for the big dog, and probably quite a bit more powerful, but also some TTV6.

Leedom 01-16-2015 02:01 PM

Yes please!

They were going for best power-to-weight ratio but I agree with Ron... TT V8 (TT the V8 from the GT350!)

Vettezuki 01-16-2015 03:35 PM

That is dead sexy in that paint.

As for V8TT, 'Murika!

Shaolin Crane 01-16-2015 04:01 PM

If Ford keeps it around for more than a year I'd bet it gets a v8

Vettezuki 01-16-2015 04:10 PM

Given emissions and fuel requirements, I doubt they could pull it off, but a >600HP NA V8 would da shit.

94cobra69ss396 01-17-2015 09:09 AM

They won't make emissions with a 600hp NA V8 but they could with a twin turbo one.

Ecoboost V8 with variable cylinder selection. Winning.

This GT is amazing.

Leedom 01-21-2015 09:20 AM

For when I win the lottery...

It would match the Mach.

Leedom 01-24-2015 11:33 PM

You guys think the previous gen GTs are gonna drop in price a lot?

I know that, but with the new ones coming out do you think their value will take a hit?

No way. It will keep its value if not continue to go up.

Vettezuki 01-26-2015 10:43 PM

They're pretty small unit run niche car in apparent high demand. I certainly wouldn't expect anything like a dive.

Leedom 03-03-2015 11:37 PM

A new GT is gonna cost you about $400k! Holy shit Ford!

Wow. I knew it was going to be up there, I would have gone for as high as $250k I suppose, something at least theoretically approachable by the upper upper middle class, but that's rich dude only.

If the upcoming mid engine twin turbo V8 C8 Vette can come in for anything like I've read, that is well under $200k, it will be a radically better value overall. But this area really isn't about "value", more about exclusivity and fancy shit.

Yep, this is a car for showing off the length of your bank penis.
