10-10-2010: Sunday: Crevier Classic Cars: Huntington Beach, CA.
There is a great car show coming up for the turbo Buicks and the Cadillac CTS-V’s & STS-V’s on Sunday, 10-10-2010, from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. It is located at 365 Clinton Street, Costa Mesa, Ca. at Crevier Classics. It is a Buick, Oldsmobile, & Pontiac shown as shown on the flyer and sponsored by the Orange County Chapter of the Buick Club of America. The turbo Buicks will have their own area to park in so we can all park together. I got an OK from Gary Martin who is an officer of the OCC BCofA for the Cadillac CTS-V’s and the STS-V’s to show with the turbo Buicks.
As it is too late to get the Cad CTS-V’s & STS-V’s actually entered into the show, all Cad CTS-V’s & STS-V’s can park with the turbo Buicks for free without any registration charges. Due to this, the Cads will not be judged but are on display only. The turbo Buicks will be judged accordingly per show policy and will pay the normal registration fee. A link to the flyer is attached. I would really like to see a good showing of the turbo Buicks and the Cad CTS-V’s and the STS-V’s both. Remember, this is a free showing opportunity for the aforementioned Cads. http://www.socalcarculture.com/Images/101010BOP.pdf Please let me know by posting up on this thread, or by PM, or by E-mail if you are planning on attending and / or showing your car. * We could sure use more Cad CTS-V's, STS-V's, & turbo Buicks at this show. We've got 9 turbo Buicks and 8 Cads signed up so far, in addition to about 100+ other Buicks, Oldsmobiles, & Pontiacs. Above noted Cads are in for free as they are not being judged, only on display. I'm down with going in the V. It sounds like its going to be really fun. Now i have to fix her up to make her look good
|
Glad that you can make it, John, should be a great show, especially for the Cads, who get in for free, and you get to see the Buicks, Oldsmobiles, & Pontiacs, in addition to Crevier's 50 car collection.
|
I would like to go, but things are up in the air for me right now to commit. I will know better in a week.
Bob |
If you can go, please let me know and / or post up, Bob, would like to have you and your car there.
|
Will do.
Bob |
On the pizza cruise, we had about 8 or so CTS-V's but no STS-V's, so it would be nice to have a few STS-V's along at the show.
|
Bob,
If you are in need of a driver let me know. :rolling: |

I just posted this on TurboBuick.com:
Disheartening news, to say the least, but I was told originally that the Cads could park with us as we are already parking in an adjacent lot to the main portion of the car show and not in the main car show parking lot. I am not about to ask the owner of a $70K new selling priced car to park their prized possession in the street. As a consequence, I am not sure if I am going to enter my turbo Buick in the show, if I am going but walking the show, or if I am not going at all. I know that to some of you guys it doesn't matter whether the Cads park in the street or not, but I am interested in everybody's opinion regarding the change of events and who's going. This is a copy of the E-mail that I received. "Parking for Caddies at the Car Show 12:12 AM Gary (gmartin949) Martin To gary-l-wells@msn.com Gary, This is the latest information concerning the show. Only the B.O.P. cars can park in the lots used for the car show. The Caddies will have to park in the street adjacent to the lot where the Turbo Buick's will be parked. I hope this works out ok for your guys. Gary Martin" __________________ TIA: Gary Wells / "TOLTK" '09 Cad CTS-V, 2K miles so far '87 Buick Turbo Regal, 27K miles '02 Quicksilver Z06 Vette, 94K miles Garage prostitutes, to the max |
Are we just parking in the street along with the regular visitors of the show or are we still on display but in a different area?
Bob |
Quote:
I will pose this query to Gary Martin and see what he says. From the way that he worded his E-mail, the Cads will park along the the street if front of or to the side of where the turbo Buicks are parking inside the lot, but that is only my interpretation. |
OK, just got off the phone with Gary Martin, and all's well with the world again. He explained that the change was due to insurance requirements & release forms, but that the Cads would have a nice spot in the street directly adjacent to the turbo Buicks and will be only a few feet away from the Turbo Buicks. They are going to cone off that area in the street so only the Caddys can park and be on display there. I think that it will all work out well and be a great show. I will be there as originally planned with the turbo Buick.

Sounds good to me. See you there Sunday.
Bob |
I really cant wait...This sounds like a great show

I'm thinking that this will really be a great show. About 100 Buicks, Oldsmobiles, & Pontiacs to check out not to mention the turbo Buicks and the Cad CTS-V & STS-V heavy muscle. Looking forward to seeing everybody there.

I had a great time and I hope that everybody else did too. I think that the final count was 12 turbo Buicks & 7 Cads. There was some great American iron there. Thanks everybody for representing the Cad CTS-V's & STS-V's . I think that all of the people or at least most of the people at the show had never seen that many turbo Buicks nor high performance Cads in 1 place at 1 time.

I had a great time at the show. I will post pictures tomorrow. I am still processing them.
