location, please?
Are these dynoes permanently mounted in place or are they portables? What facility? |

OK, who's RET?
Where are they located? Does a guy named Josh work there? |
OK, I know who they are now. That use to be by another name, Varo's or something like that. They dynoed my '09 CTS-V a while back. One of those dynoes reads very low. They also backed down on the dogs & stuff after announcing that they were going to have the same thing. I prefer CAT in Wilmington, even though they have a Dynapack. No burgers, no dogs, but they are one of the best, if not the best, at tuning hands down. They also do not do builds, just testing services generally. Good luck to all of you guys that go. I might drop by.

I'm not sure if you're thinking of the same place. RET is Racers Edge Tuning. Greg is the owner, but they haven't got by another name as long as I've know him (going on years now). |

I'll be there wanna see what the Balt is doing currently
hopefully close to 300fwhp |
It was fun. I hit RET in the afternoon and saw some cool stuff. The SMS Green Challenger was there and is gorgeous!
|
Sean also took some video, which I'll try to get to today.
|
There was a good cross section of rides at the RET DD. Great burgers and dogs too!
|
I was there and they still haven't sent me my graph. Mine was the green Genesis Coupe, first car on the rear dyno. I've emailed Greg twice already.
I am not even sure what my car ran, I think it was 215/255 on the first run. The graph disappeared pretty quick on the other 2 runs. |

To add insult to injury, I'm going through the videos now. Looks like we didn't show up with the video til after your run. Mea culpa. :( |
Also added to OP.
|
Oh yeah. I know there is no direct affiliation. I thought SeanPlunk was on here more than another forum. He said he'd bug them about getting my graph. Another Genesis Coupe owners cousin works there and he is supposed to be bugging them also. Still nothing and no response to my emails. /shrug
I was the 2nd car dyno'd, first on the rear dyno and I left about 12:30. I got hungry heh. I have a vid of the first pull of my car. I'll post when I get home, if possible. No youtube at work heh. |

Heh thanks. Would have been nice if he responded to my email and let me know that.
Here's my first pull. |
He's super busy - it took me until now to get a hold of him and I had to ask across lots of boards.
What's done to your car? I love Genesis Coupes and I like the color you got :) |
Thanks, Lime Rock Green is the color. First year of the car and the color is already discontinued heh.
I have: TWM Short shift lever ARK Dual GRiP Exhaust (Down pipe back) Power Axel Reflash (18 lbs tune) Tanabe Test Lowering Springs (DF series) Color matched wing emblem on the front black glossy vinyl on the roof and XM fin. Green Halos/Angel Eyes |

What are future mod plans? Is the turbo pretty maxed at this point, or do you have more room to go? |
no replacement color. They are just going to extend all the colors to all the trims. Before some colors weren't on some engine/trim combos (US Spec only I think). Like the yellow was only 3.8 Track.
FMIC, wheels, maybe coilovers, then exterior stuff (tint, lights painted, maybe front lip and side skirts). Just want a bigger FMIC because OEM is tiny and heatsoaks fast. Turbo is tiny and can pretty much go upto ~250rwhp but 225 - 230 rwhp is pretty much my target. I'm not much of a power guy just want to be able to accelerate on the freeway if I need to get my butt out of the way. So OEM is good enough for me. |
