I like the F430 better.
|
I'm going to go ahead and have to disagree. The F430 is awesome, but the F458 is superior.

I agree with Sean. I like the 458 Italia better. The 430 is a beautiful car, but this is the first ferrari that I actually "desired" since I was 8 with a Testerosa poster on my wall.

FTR, I prefer the 458 too. I like the apparently longer more slender proportions, compound curves and more pronounced haunches. It's very feminine in an elegant sort of way to my eye. I don't care fro the rims. I'd like something with a little more substance (actual size) and perhaps complexity. This body also looks good in other colors to my eye, where previous Ferraris really were all about red and maybe black. ![]() |
I will agree with Sean. The 458 is sex on wheels. I saw a red one at Cars and Coffee a few weeks back.

A Red 458 has been at Cars and Coffee for the past 2 weeks if you want to see it :) It usually takes off around 7:30 though :boggled:

Ben, weld something for me. |

The AFB carb on the boat has this stupid air flow valve mechanism which is basically a weighted set of butterflys that swing open with enough air flow. They are opening too soon, causing a bog, so I need you to weld a nut or something to each of the weights to make it heavier.
Are you ready for me to come by and get that bumper on finally? I'll just bring it next time I come over. |
its all about the Ferrari FXX

1 - Jeremy Clarkson is a genius.
2 - I gotta figure out how to make some real money some day. 3 - I am curious what a ZR1 would do on that track. |

2) Let me know if you figure that out 3) Corvette ZR1 1.20.4, but I believe it was on a wet surface. |

The fact that a 4200lb Bugatti Veyron SS is the current record holder is amazing to me.
|
AWD with 1200hp and more importantly 1100tq to get that 4200lbs moving.

It has huge carbon fiber discs with 8 piston calipers in the front and 6 piston calipers in the rear. Not to mention the rear wing is used for braking. It has braking covered and the AWD helps with accelerating out of turns.
Granted, at 4200lbs it is heavy but the ZR1 is somewhere around 3300-3400lbs. The rule of thumb I've always heard was losing 100lbs is like picking up 10hp. The Veyron has about 560hp more than the ZR1. |
I'd love to see them fit the Bugatti SS Engine into a 3500lb car :)
