24 hrs of LeMans

GT1 lead by Ford GT
GT2 lead by Corvette then F430 Then Corvette!

It would be a great year for America if we can pull this off.

I'm looking forward to watching soon.

Puegot puts off Corvette in the Porsche corner. Looked kinda crappy to me. The GT cars can't move the same way the prototype cars do. The Vette was in first and comitted to the line.

Why do you think he did that? everyone is scared of the vette, every time they have a interview with a driver they say "were just doing what were doing and trying to stay ahead of the vette and ferrari drivers" why? cause they are scared of american muscle

Anthony Davidson, driver of the Peugot would run his mother over to get ahead. He put the Vette off by charging down the inside on a very fast corner that put the much heavier and less grippy Vette off its line and upset its chassis, poof the end.

And it was all for nothing the peugot ending up blowing up a few hours later. It was unlikely that the vette could of finished the race anyway, they seem to have a problem with there pistons giveing up

Who knows. It was just an unnecessary dick move by Davidson. I'm all for hard charging, and maybe if there was a second to gain on the last lap or something, it'd be a different story, but driving like that at that stage of the race, nobody came out ahead.

I think they can learn a lot from F1 this year. With all the slower cars this year (almost 10 sec off the pace) They seem to be doing well of not hitting them.

There actually wasn't any contact. The problem is that the Puegot pushed the Vette off its line and upset the GT chassis, which is FAR less forgiving to sudden moves than the prototypes are. The F1 boys are damned careful about contact because they're open wheelers. Tire to tire is a disaster for everybody. They also have a culture of no-contact (opposite of NASCAR).

The incident.

Watching it happen again just makes me mad.

Yep, I agree--just screwed the Vette up bad.:bang:

Vettezuki 06-16-2010 04:19 PM

Well, Carlos. What's your opinion. That's just my amateur spectator opinion based on what I saw, and heard from the more experienced people. You're a Vette driver. Whattaya think? Dick move or legitimate by Peugot?

BADDASSC6 06-16-2010 06:51 PM

Rule of hte land the Peugshit had position on the Corvette and therefore was not at fault. That is the rule. All the Peugot did was take the line/turn in point away.

The problem with this is that rule is based on historical racing. That means that the speed/cornering differentials are minimal.

In ALMS and LMS series there are five different classes running with the fastest cars (Peugot/Audi) being near F-1 speeds and GT-3 which are basicly Porsche GT-3 (factory) level. This means that the faster cars must be patient with the production based cars.

That didn't happen. The Corvette crashed and the GT-2 lead car was taken out. This is significant because GT-2 is the most competative class in any race series. :suicide: That faggot should have waited. He was out of contention and he fucked us.
