Alright everyone - it's time for another cruise to start the year off! The last cruise had about 45 cars and was a blast (pictures here, here, and here).

The plan is to meet at noon at Savi Ranch in Yorba Linda by Dick's Sporting Goods. The address for the meet up is:

We'll hang out for a half hour and then at 12:30 we'll leave Savi and head down the 15fwy to Ortega Canyon. We'll take the canyon all the way to Dana Point and then continue cruising for 24 miles up Pacific Coast Highway.

Once we get to Beach and PCH we'll head to SuperMex for some lunch. The food is great and I think they have a bar for all you guys that feel like a beer after a long cruise :)

This should be fun. Hopefully we do not get stuck behind someone going about 10MPH under the limit like we did last time.

Is this separate from and in addition to our regular (second Saturday) meet, or in place of?

I haven't figured that out yet :ugh:

Unfortunately, that is all were are going to run into is SLOW people and too many of them. I don't think this is going to be as fun as you think. More like a test of your patience.:uh:

Done it many times on the HD.........fun yea.......in a vehicle maybe not. Just too many people that can't think and drive at the same time drive on that road. 74 thirty years ago was fun....now on Saturday at mid day.......no so much. Not trying to be buzz killer here...but the truth is the truth.:rolleyes:

I'm looking for a good meeting point at the end of Ortega to get everyone back together and to allow those that just want to do PCH to meet up with us. I haven't found anywhere I like so far but I'll post it up as soon as I decide.

How bout where we met last time before going into Ortega?

I thought about it, the only thing is that it's on the left side of the street coming out of the canyon. When we have 45 cars leaving the lot and turning left to get back onto the street it's going to be tough to stay together. It may end up being the only option though. I don't see anything with a big enough lot on the right side of the street.

ill lead everyone in the nitemare, honk if theres anyone going too slow, old ladys going 10 mph under usually get pretty scared with a big black truck behind them honking for them to pull over lol

Actually not going to be able to make it to this cruise. Gonna be in SD at the charger game with Shannon. She is getting tickets for X-mas from me so not gonna be there.

Still working on it. It's a congested area and I haven't found a good spot yet. Someone suggested a train depot just outside the canyon though so I'm going to check that out.

Train Depot is hidden and hard to find. Ortega and 5 sucks...very congested...traffic/red light cameras at all corners. There is a park and ride lot one exit North. Junipero Serra and the 5 fwy East side. . You can jump on the Freeway or take a right on Rancho Viejo road. It is 1.3 mile from Ortega.
