Any free dyno days coming up?

I want to see what 1.65 rockers, a port match, an 11.8 AFR down from a 15:1 AFR and another 8 lbs of boost did to my whp. :D

enkeivette 10-01-2009 03:00 AM

Oh yeah... and sealed HGs & intake manifold gaskets. :sm_laughing:

Would you be willing to come out here? I could see if either GTR or Throttle Crazy's buddy would be willing to run it. I want to run the Chevelle as well before the Street Legals on Oct 31 to dial in the timing and AFR.

It doesn't have to be free, but cheap would be nice. If you can put it together Ron, I'd like to come out too before the the next street legals. The last times at the track my MPH was down (same day as yours was) and I want to see if I'm noticably down on power or not. It doesn't feel like it, but that's what the track suggested. If you can do it on a Saturday, maybe I can have my original tuner come out and pop in some timing. :)

I think GTR charges $70 for three pull normally but I'm not sure. I left a message for Gonzalo to find out if they can fit us in on a Saturday before the 31st and what he'll charge. I'm sure he'll do it for less than that for me.

I spoke to Gonzalo and he said they could do it on the 17th and the cost would be $60 each. Let me know if you guys are still interested so I can have him book it for us.

For 3 pulls right? Mmm, wondering if I can do a base and tune in two. . .

Correct but I'm sure they would do four if you need it for the same $60.

Cool. Put me in for a strong tentative yes.

What's the address?

enkeivette 10-01-2009 07:00 PM

How about one for $20? :D

SeanPlunk 10-01-2009 07:14 PM

I think I'm setting up a dyno day in November. Probably something like $40 to $45 for 3 pulls or something like that in case anyone is interested.

More my price range, I'm down for that.

94cobra69ss396 10-01-2009 10:08 PM

Ben, are you still in for GTR then?

If we could get something like 30 cars, do you think GTR would be interested in hosting a dyno day? I like to support good shops and I know they've been good to our members. Honestly $60 would be a little much, but if we have a lot of cars maybe we could get a volume discount?

I'm sure they would but I'd have to check. Also, they're only familiar with RWD. They have their customer appreciation day next month so they'll also be preparing for that because they do a dyno challange that day also.

I probably will be doing my on the 17th because I want to tune it before the races on the 31st.

I'm still on board for the 17th unless some business thing pops up or I can't get my tuner (who offered a free touch up) can't make it out.

Cool. I'll call him this morning and have him schedule it.

Hey Ron, GTR is down by your place right? I would like to see what kind of numbers my 5.0 is putting down. GTR or Seans place, whichever comes first. 20 Dollar difference isn't too bad so whichever date comes first i wanna show up!

I'm scheduling an appointment for the Oct. 17th. It will be $60. I'll let Gonzalo know there will be three cars.

94cobra69ss396 10-05-2009 11:09 AM

Mike, this appointment is cancelled. We'll have to do it another time.

Ron,

Did you talk to him by chance about actually hosting a dyno day? If not, maybe I'll give him a call. Thanks!

Sean

I have not. They have their customer appreciation day next month sometime but I don't remember what day. I can call him and talk to him about hosting one or you can. If you want to call him their number is (909) 987-4352 or (909) 987-4387. Let me know if you want me to call him.
