As close as I can get is that I like Vetts, do you think they might like a little rice at their hamburger party?

This one is a Corvette thing organized by big2bird (Vettemod.com). But we'll be doing an MG run in early August too that's open to all.

Sonic03SVT 07-30-2010 04:52 PM

injdinjn 07-31-2010 02:49 PM

Why do they call it the Bird Run.
Do they all secretly wish they owned Firebirds. :)

BADDASSC6 08-01-2010 08:10 PM

Unfortunately no. This a Vettemod.com event really. Since big2bird is a user here and I have a long history with these guys, I just put it up here. We'll be doing our (Motorgen) cruise in mid August, second Saturday as always. :)

WHAT!? $600! I bought my '02 C5 when I was 22 and it was $150 a month and I had a clean record and I had another sports car to my name. This was State Farm full coverage. Wow man, shop around. I think you got confused, it might be $600 for 6months. They sell it to you like that but you can pay monthly. Right now im 26 and pay $90 a month for 3 cars.

C5Natie 08-06-2010 12:33 PM

No way its $600 a month unless you got 5 DUIs with a man slaughter charge.

Vettezuki 08-06-2010 01:20 PM

Guy,

PM SexyLexy. She's SeanPlunk's wife and works for Mercury. She can give you a quick quote range. I did think $600/mnth was on the holy hell side, but I'm much older, married, etc. so I have no idea.

Damian 08-07-2010 12:41 AM

Look Wawanesa Ins, I only pay $1400 a year for 3 cars (in my sig) for full coverage on all of them.

I'm not retarded i understand how insurance works, It was nearly 4k for 6 months for 3 vehicles. Not worth it to own a vette.

I'm paying $166.10 a month for my old ass fox and my truck, fox comes out to about $46 a month, the rest is on the truck.
Coverage is 100/300/100
60/120
$100/$100

I'm in the same boat. Geico was asking for $500 a month for the V and my truck. Thats more then my V Payment so i told them to pound sand. I do have one at fault (only car involved) but still 3000 for 6 months is BULL. Right now im paying 160 and by the end of the year the at fault should drop off so it should drop then

It's cool, i apologize for snapping at you.

Douglas Mariani 09-16-2010 06:58 AM

You young whipper snappers pay way to much. When your old and crusty like me you can insure 5 Corvettes with full coverage for $1,129.14 a year :smack:

This tour will be Arrowhead/Big Bear on Sat. Overnight in Baumont/Banning area Sat night, and Sunday up to Idylwild, down to Anza, and back home via Temecula or Palm Springs. Jeff designed the run so people can have a good time if they only wanted to attend one day or both.

It's a goddamned shame I can't make this one. As a Veteran of Birdrun I, I can say these are great long runs. Hopefully we can have a little more lead time on a solid date next time and we can promote more.

Sonic03SVT 09-17-2010 07:08 AM

boo. Not enough notice to get the time off of work. On the plus side, get to finish the C5 brake swap on my dad's C4 this weekend
