|
Vicarious
Vicarious - Tool
I don't know how many times I've listened to this. It does get me pumped, I must admit. I should cut a video to it some day. -V |
Dick Dale--greatest hits.

Jamiroquai - Greatest Hits. I'm expecting this :sm_up_there: as a reply from Vettezuki on this one...

Death of Martian - Red Hot Chillipeppers
I love the line, "chase lizards, bark at donkeys". |
I also have been listening to the newest John Mayer CD Continuum quite a bit. It's actually a pretty good disk across the board.

Kinda cool little site, don't know if you have heard of it but last.fm pretty cool place, logs all the music you listen to on your computer and stuff you've played on your MP3 player and loads it and shows it weekly and monthly and over all. Here's mine http://www.last.fm/user/vonage6591/ Also gives internet radio recommendations based off what you listen to

Rage Against The Machine - Know Your Enemy (Live at Brixton Academy May 23, 1993) Part of my extensive collection of their bootlegs.
www.withoutaface.ws **Edit** And I just realized that this version of Know Your Enemy has Maynard from Tool singing vocals on his respective part. :lhdevil: |

That's a great piece . . . :sm_up_there: |
Corelli Variations - Rachmaninov
Sometimes (often) rock just doesn't get it on the way the old timers did. |
The Serpentine Offering - Dimmu Borgir
For Satanists their choruses are surprisingly sensitive and melodic. |
Days - Find My Way Back Home

No Doubt - It's My Life
One of the few remakes that's possibly better than the original. The video is rad. |
Cositas Buenas - Paco de Lucia

I'm gett'n kinda lonely in here, but fu*k it.
"The Chauffer" - Duran Duran Rio is the first album I ever bought. I payed for it by mowing a lawn. I think it was like $7 (what I was paid for mowing the lawn) for a cassette in 1984+-. I remember getting a lesson from my friend's dad on negotiating. I shouldn't have just agreed to pay the asking price (because the seller, one of his sons, new what I had), should have offered $5. It's funny how these little things stick with you and can make serious differences over time. Anyway, "The Chauffer" is one of my favorite songs from Duran Duran. Heck, the lyrics are even car related. Give it a listen some time. |
Billie Joe Shaver - Slim Chance and The Can't Hardly Playboys

I went to a Duran Duran release party for Rio. OK, "maybe" it was Rio, it was in 1981 or maybe 82. Ok, I'm not sure -but it was Duran Duran and it was an Album release party in the early 80's. The 80's is such a BLURR for me. Yea, and it was in Hollywood at the Palace. |
I just started a Rhapsody subscription. Currently I'm reliving my early music memories and discovering some new stuff. I always wanted to listen to more Kraftwerk and now I'm doing it. It's a bit different than I imagined, and frankly a bit better. I'm now listening to:
Sex Object - Kraftwerk |

"Diary of a Madman" - Ozzy
Randy Rhoads was one of the great guitar players of Rock history. |
Your love - The Outfield

Dude, this immediately makes me want to go out, take the T-Tops off the Vette and go cruising. |

Roxanne - The Police |
It would sure be nice. Amazing how so many bands can continue to put hits together.
We're Already There - The Wallflowers |
I would kill to be able to write songs, it's amazing how they just seem to come together.

Vokuro - Bjork I will cut a Vette video to this some day. But I need to look deep inside. |
Vokuro
It was/is my hope that people give a little back story to what their listening to on occasion. That's what's interesting as much as anything.
Vokuro - Bjork I don't know how many times I've listened to this piece. It is from her album "Medulla". Side note: How many commercially successful artists can you think of who make an entire album derived from vocal sounds? You may or may not dig what she's doing, but she fearlessly swings for the fences again and again. A true and rare artist who puts vision before all else. |

"You Know I'm No Good" - Amy Winehouse
Seems like a nice girl. |
Eh i guess thats what 6 times in rehab gets you. Saw pictures of her drinking shots with her 1 year old in her arms.
