I have them all on the calendar, but Alternative Motoring keeps changing the schedule  I'll try to get back to you - but if they stop doing it maybe we'll have to do a Motorgen private track day :pot_stir:

That would be cool, generally I don't like to go to the "open to the public" events because they get so packed and you hardly get any runs in or the track isn't prep'p well.

It's absolutely in our plan to have our own private track days, but we've got to get to the point of being able to guarantee numbers. Hopefully that's sooner than later.

Whats up man how is the grand prix running. As of right now I don't know of any private track days.

It's running pretty good, no new mods since my 12.3 run, I just want to get out there and run again.

Does your car have an intercooler or is it still hot air?

Have you had your car dynoed? I'm just curious what it makes power wise compared to my car. Also, what is the curb weight on those?

They are close to the cobra in weight.

heypal 10-13-2008 09:23 PM

Looked it up just for you Sean..So enjoy the 4dr sedan that weights as much as a cobra.

Curb Weight : 3669 lbs
Overall length : 198.2 in.
Wheelbase : 110.5 in.
Overall Width : 71.6 in.
Height : 55.9 in.

dwntwn 10-13-2008 09:40 PM

Motor Trend weighed the 2004 CompG in at 3583lbs, and I weigh ~220lbs.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._exterior.html

I haven't had the car on the dyno since the IC and more aggressive tune. It dyno'd at 295 SAE on a DynoJet, I'm guessing I'm probably about 330 - 340 FWHP with the IC and tune (with race gas of course).

Do you mean 330 or 340 FWHP? That would make more sense. All I know for sure is that with over 100 more wheel horsepower I manage to run a half second slower :rolling: Actually, swapping out the belt on my car has made a HUGE difference, I think the belt has been slipping badly since the day I got the pulleys on. If I go in November and can borrow drag radials again I think I could definitely knock some time off.

dwntwn 10-14-2008 07:42 AM

Yeah I meant 330-340 fwhp. I think reason my times are so good is because my car launches pretty hard, it has a lot of bottom end and not so good top end.

I think you have an even smaller pulley than I do on a smaller blower. I have a 2.76 pulley on a M112, I think you had a 2.59 or something on a m90?

I have a 2.55" pulley but I was running my 2.6" pulley on my 12.3 run. Yes it is an m90 sc, I see about 13.5 psi with the 2.6 on there.

I also have an automatic which makes my car easier to run.

How strange, I'm pullied for 15lbs, but I would have thought with a bigger blower and bigger pulley it would be less than you  When does your blower start to lose efficiency? I think I'm definitely pushing the limits of mine without porting.

It's also not driven by Sean, which helps quite a bit too. :nutkick:

If I bring the Cobra you can borrow my tires for some runs. If I don't bring it I'll bring my tires for you to use. They are M/T ET Street Drags (the street slick, not the radial) that are 26 x 11.5 on 17 inch rims. If you don't run an 11 on those I'm taking your keys and running an 11 for you!

I only made 433rwhp in my Cobra at 10psi and have gone 11.69 at 118.

Yeah, but you know how to drive  Thanks for the very generous offer though in all seriousness :hail:

There's not much to driving my Cobra. Mash throttle, drop clutch, repeat during gear change.:D

I think that I might get one more day in the sum at the track so I can get some more times and see how future mods affect my times. As it stands right now I plan on Clutch Quadrant and Rear LCA from Maximum Motorsports as my next mods. I am going to get adjustable ones so if I need some more room in the rear for slicks I can increase the ride height with them. If someone wants to throw some DRs my way I would not mind. I think I can clear them, then again maybe not with the Steeda Sport Springs. Not sure if I am going to be running Nov 1st being my birthday party day and all. Might have to wait until Dec 6th. By then I might have the rear LCA done... of course we could start a Motorgen collection for my b-day and I could just get them then. :)

This sounds good. Having finally put the T-bird in my name ( my Dad gave it to me ) I'd like to run it. There's a white Vette I want to run it against. :rolling:
