Terrible pic. I post it because I didn't actually recognize the car. It was Vette-like, but not a vette.

A Mach1 often parked out front a place I visit for a side job. It must be a daily driver, because it's always in a different place.

Saw this on the 91E a while back. The pic doesn't do it justice. This Jeep looked huge.

Tried to get a closer pic while driving, but didn't come out. He had the German helmet, dangling cigarette, the whole 9. It was an actual mo-ped. So awesome.

Out front the great Mexicasa. Look out; it's "Turbo Intercooled"

A beautiful 1st Gen right in West LA rumbling through traffic.

I was in the Protege and was tempted to ask if he wanted to roll, but I was turning right. Lucky for him. . .

Outside my local Home Depot. Love me some 50's Buicks. I'd like to have one someday for real cruisin.

A legit (?) GT500.

I've got some more on my cell. I'll get to them eventually.

Believe it or not, but this wonderfully brand new 5.0 Mustang was spotted in Utah a few minutes earlier with someone pulled over!!

We passed him, then pulled over at a rest stop then caught up to him hiding behind a semi.

This thing was really neat. Only 6 in the U.S. He cruised it around all day.

Snow blowers.

I wish I had said F-it and moved the cones and pulled up to the building a little closer. We had stopped here to check into the volunteer booth at 3:30am. As I walked back to the car, the hanger doors opened up and it was quite the cool visual !

Hello Mr. Abrams

jedhead 09-30-2011 11:24 PM

Ben, I think the top pick on the trailer is a Lister from the 1950's. I saw one at Cars and Coffee.

Vettezuki 10-03-2011 12:08 AM

Great pics guys Bob, I think you're right. I was trying to place it in my mind and that seems correct.

A Fridolin! That's like catching a glimpse of a 17 year old virgin in South Los Angeles, I mean they do exist but the chances of ever actually seeing one in person are quite small...

kdracer73 10-07-2011 04:15 PM

Buried to the axles ! They where stacking wood pallets under the bucket, to try and lift it out.

Sonic03SVT 10-07-2011 04:44 PM

Saw an honest to god SLR mercedes yesterday in Buena Park, beach and Rosecrans. Wild stuff.

Small White Car 10-07-2011 07:08 PM

I got to see what happens when an Asian lady in a Honda and a Hispanic lady in an Altima try and occupy the same space at the same time earlier.

No serious injuries, both them cars was totaled...

94cobra69ss396 10-07-2011 10:53 PM

Saw these at Downs this afternoon while getting race fuel. They were on their way to the Offroad Expo.

Sounds like quantum physics, except y'know...not :smack:

Saw this at California Speedway today. I would love to have this car.

Small White Car 10-09-2011 08:19 PM

Nice...

For those of us on ACH today, happen to see Jay Leno in his '32 Duesenberg SJ?

I swear I'm beginning to see him everywhere.

Vettezuki 10-10-2011 01:38 AM

The GT-350 is probably my favorite Mustang ever. Glenn (BRUTAL64) had one for a while as I recall and sold it for, mmmm, not much, back in the olden days.

I did a Mulholland cruise for my Camaro club and Jay Leno pulled up in Eco Jet.
"The primary goal was to design and build a car that ran on environmentally friendly, renewable bio-diesel fuel and that didn't drive like a Prius. Of course, as Jay has quipped, that makes harvest time the only time of year when there'll be plenty of fuel available, but that's beside the point.
The heart of the EcoJet is a 650-horsepower Honeywell LT-101 turbine engine, which sits inside a modified Corvette Z06 hydroformed aluminum frame with aluminum and magnesium structural and chassis components. The vehicle's shell is an advanced construction of carbon fiber over Kevlar, and the body is painted with environmentally friendly paint from Glasurit's 9 Line Waterborne Technology lines, which is designed to dramatically reduce emissions during application."

Jay pointing, "That red Camaro is BADASS!"

It's required by law now that all vehicles in california be painted with waterborne, hell I have some for my car, it really is bitchen paint, no cause it saves the environment but because its a urethane/water base instead of lacquer, makes it 75% more flexible than lacquer even without a flex agent. Good shit.

Though I couldnt afford glasurit :(

kdracer73 11-05-2011 09:53 AM

Is it any surprise that, the guy with the palm tree shirt(3 buttons open), gold chains, driving the 80s MBZ SL has this sweet cell phone and a Breathalyzer ignition lockout ?

kdracer73 11-14-2011 01:13 PM

Cadi powered first gen Camaro.

At the Great Park in Irvine, from 300ft up, in the Orange Balloon.

blackax 12-05-2011 02:51 PM

It looks like Riverside PD now uses SRT8's.

I guess They do have cars that can catch me darn

SkunkLookingCar 12-05-2011 04:31 PM

I wonder why they don't have exempt plates on it?

94cobra69ss396 12-05-2011 04:46 PM

And why are you at the police station? Do we need to raise bail?

Redondo Jon 12-06-2011 07:51 AM

The dimensions on these McLaren’s are much smaller than I expected. I think that this is a really nice car.

Shaolin Crane 12-06-2011 08:11 AM

Was starsky there? Lol

anthonydalrymple 12-06-2011 07:48 PM

I saw something I haven't seen driven around these parts in a long time.... An AMC Eagle 4WD! :lmfao:

Yeah, guess so. Not exactly what you expect to see in a middle class Torrance neighborhood. These (355 F1 Spyder) aren't super expensive as Ferraris go, but they ain't exactly chump change either. I *think* he said he spent about $62k for it. The most recent service from the previous owner, was like a $10k "refresh".

It's pretty awesome, next time he's going to take me out in it.

And the Vette ain't exactly stock, it's a 402 Twin Turbo with turbo headers that alone are works of art, fabbed up by a guy who does exhaust fab for Indy cars.

I realize this is an old post, but IIRC the F355 requires new timing belts every 15K miles and the cost to change them is about 10 stacks... christ...

enkeivette 12-08-2011 02:35 PM

That may be a cop's car, but it's not a cop car.

It had both lights in the grill and the back window. So it might not be a "Cop" car but it can/will pull you over.

true but it does take away from my speed buffer (most cop cars cant go past 138) That thing would do 150 - 160

jedhead 12-09-2011 02:20 PM

I have a friend that took a new charger police car out to Seal Beach and it topped out at 160. IIRC the 300C SRT8 tops out at 170.

Bob

Ya the chargers are gear limited to 173 (they reach this in 4th).
My V in drag limited (tall 6th gear) so the V can only do 163 stock.
Well the new V Is also drag limted (tall 6th gear) can do 191 stock.

I have a little more power to the wheel then a New V and the gearing is almost the same (+/- .01 of a ratio)

I've only been up to Redline in 5th. I didnt shift in to 6th to see how it felt/pulled.
