Who brings their garage to the track? I wouldn't just to substantiate other people's claims but that's just me.

I do. I bring a tool box, jack, etc. I drive the Chevelle over to the track on street tires, change to my slicks and then change them back for the drive home. I've changed carbs at the track, plugs, wires, distributors all to see the difference.

i guess thats why newer cars are nice. i drive my car to the track (sometimes over 110 miles one way) on DR's and skinnies and run my times. i datalog my ECM on my PC and drive home. gone are the days of me working on a car at the track :drive:

I haven't had to do anything to the Chevelle besides change the tires for about the past 7 years now. I have DOT legal street slicks for the Cobra so when I take it I don't do anything.

At least you're just changing it so you'll know if you go any faster.

yea thats why i want to get it on before i install that converter.. that thing is going to make a BIG difference in the car.. i'm just hoping that my local track is prep as good as MIR that day of my launch photo..
