Reminds me of Gumball 3000, kinda not really. They went to a car show and went up to the owner of a 2000 era V6 Mustang who went a little crazy with plastic chrome. He put a GTR logo on the back (before there was a GTR mustang concept).

They ask him, GTR huh? He says yup, special model. They say thats the rotary in there right? Yup. A rotary with pistons and everything ya? Ya huh.

Its turbo too! WITH headers!

Some of these are epic. I love the videos at events like Coachella where you can pretty easily get people to say they love band so and so. . . which does not exist.

Or the "Sign this petition to end women's suffrage!" Or "Ban di-hydrogen monoxide."

Like my neighbor, he comes up to me and says, what is that shiny thing behind your front bumper? A cold air intake? I say no, thats an intercooler, its supercharged. He says huh, and leaves.

He actually turns around down the block and comes back to say, but how could it be intercooled if its supercharged? As if I was lying, I showed him.

I would love to have an LT5 in an old hot rod, people walk over and say, what kinda motor is that? Id say, a DOHC corvette motor. Hmmmmm

That's my thought. They tried it and went back to the good old push rods. I love the coyote in my stang, but even with VVTI its no match down low for an LS. It will scream past 7k though.

BADDASSC6 09-06-2013 05:24 PM

I do think the coyote is the only DOHC V8 where the packaging was done right.

Nope that thing is monstrous. It takes a lot of room.

Maybe I'll look up dimensions later.

Cuz this ain't exactly petite.

Right, it's not the LS motors are probably the best packaged motors out there. The Ferrari photo lacked the huge aluminum intake manifold, the 5.0 was complete. That's really why I don't car for DOHC motors. The heads are too fat.

Total form factor of the Ferrari motor is pretty tight in my estimation, the high rise of the intake under the back of a F458 is just fine. No DOHC is going to fit anything like an OHV ever. For real tiny, can't be a rotary. You can fit those just about literally in your lap. But yeah, no argument here, the best value, packaging performance motor is clearly the LS series. They kind of knocked it out of the park and keep on trucking.

I saw some guy going 10mph over the limit... rapist scum. Where's an orange county rich city cop when you need one?

Speaking of cops with real work to do, I asked an LA cop a question yesterday. There are a lot of one way streets where you can make a left from the left corner, staying near the sidewalk. A lot of people treat this like a right hand turn and make the turn at a red light. I see people do it A LOT. But you cant apparently. Its technically running a red light, $700 ticket.

Yep. If there's no sign permitting it, not allowed to happen.

enkeivette 09-07-2013 11:08 AM

False, its never allowed to happen.

I did it many times in downtown. Who cares.

Who makes a body kit for the Le Baron? :p

enkeivette 09-08-2013 01:36 PM

In all seriousness, I generally dont like Fox bodies, but I do like yours. Color, wheels, clear lights, all look cool.

You have amber lights in those clear lenses dont you? You criminal piece of shit

Shaolin Crane 09-08-2013 02:44 PM

Yeah I do, though technically not a change since the factory corner markers are half clear and half yellow and still have amber bulbs

fiveohwblow 09-10-2013 10:18 AM

*fart*

Shaolin Crane 09-10-2013 11:49 AM

AAA is sending me a $4100 check for the damages. Valued it at 10k, so no new truck. Gonna list the truck as-is for 5k and see if I get any bites

Is it that hard to find a new fender/ bed for an old Ford?

enkeivette 09-10-2013 12:38 PM

I dont understand how people like watching/ care so much about sports. Its so boring. Why would you want to watch someone else play a game?

Nope, a bed from the yard is about $250. Painter said $550 to paint it. I did not know however it was worth so much. I only paid 3k for it. So I listed it for 5k as-is and will see if anyone bites.

I don't either, i'd rather play the sport than watch it, with the Exception of the UFC. Completely different event. I do however LOVE sports season, the gym is fucking empty.

I agree with most sports, with the exception of auto raceing, For one thing I dont have the money to race let alone the skill, (or for the fact that im not in shape.)

Shaolin Crane 09-10-2013 03:36 PM

Listed the truck, with the damage for $5500 and I already have someone who wants it.

Shaolin Crane 09-10-2013 04:34 PM

Now I remember why I don't take my vehicles to shops. Since I am opting for self repair the shop is trying to ding me $811 in storage fees. Guess i'm gonna piss some people off.

Shaolin Crane 09-11-2013 12:56 AM

Might have a buyer lined up for the truck, if it goes through i'll be going to look at this bad boy and make him an offer he'll likely refuse

Haha, nice.

Let me know how you get the truck back, sounds like it will be fun.

Chocolate is gross

Vettezuki 09-17-2013 12:58 AM

What most people think of as chocolate is some sort of burnt chemical sugar concoction, not chocolate. The good shit is awesome (and healthy).

Shaolin Crane 09-17-2013 01:18 AM

I have had "good" expensive chocolate and I do not like. Not a sweets fan, however beef jerkey is the business.
