It's waiting for a FAST 102mm intake. Got the Nick Williams 102 throttle body in today. :pot_stir:

Lol. That's the heat wrap (just a reflective backing) on the cold air intake duct. These vettes get really warm under that hood and at 12:1cr hot air ain't your friend... Plus the potatoes are done in half the time.

Have you wrapped your headers? That will keep a lot of heat out of the engine bay but then again it will raise egt's.

Is it just a thick aluminum foil? What stat are you running? What are your IATs?

They're ceramic coated. They stay reasonably cool and they cool fast.

It's a thick foam tape with an aluminum backing to reflect heat. My iat are usually 15-20* below outside air temps when the car is moving. The cooler is it outside, the better. When the car is moving then warmest i'll see is the same as the oat. It's when your idle that theyll rise. Before it was absorbing a lot of heat so I added the insulation and removed the weatherstripping by the windshield cowl so air that enters from the air dam can exit.

Btw, I use my diablosport predator to monitor iat and knock as I drve.
