California car

Roll bar & everything

Redondo Jon 03-12-2011 02:01 PM

Parked right across the street from my house. What a cool car.

Shaolin Crane 03-12-2011 08:56 PM

That thing is straight fuckin sexy

Kozak 03-14-2011 12:36 PM

Always thought the Roush was better looking than the Shelby, personally

Shaolin Crane 03-15-2011 12:21 AM

Depending on the year, I agree.

SeanPlunk 03-22-2011 09:43 PM

Saw one of these tonight:

Shaolin Crane 03-23-2011 08:21 AM

Not a fan

10yearrx7 03-23-2011 11:19 AM

^No Way!! That car is beautiful! I am not normally a fan of Mercedes but I love that car.

Sonic03SVT 03-25-2011 08:54 AM

Gads. Thing is hideous. Why couldnt they actually design some sort of back end for it instead of it looking like a clay model on which the rear end has begun to just melt off. Seriously, thing is gross :barf:

just my opinion, of course.

Shaolin Crane 03-26-2011 03:51 AM

I agree, maybe its just the fox and c5 lovers

Vettezuki 03-26-2011 04:15 AM

I wouldn't say that I love it, but by no means do I hate it. I'm a little mystified as to why people have such strong feelings against it.

As for clumsy rear ends, GM has got that covered. The C5 isn't the most subtle ass end on a car (thought the form follows function) and the current CTS-V Coupe is a cluster IMO.

Shaolin Crane 03-26-2011 10:11 AM

I agree about the new cts-v but not the c5 that car is perfect for all but the head lights

Small world. We get a fair number of "fancy" cars in here on the weekends particuarly. Somewhere in this thread is a pic of a brand new Ferrari California in the same spot, someone round here has a Gucci NSX.

Wow, I bet those stickers make it go faster. No wait, they make it easier to park the car. No, that's not it either...

See, you don't need to spend a lot of money at the store for stickers. All you need is a pair of scissors & some electrical tape.

I especially like the rusting ram-air intakes. They work, right? Ohh...hold on a minute folks...:barf: Oh man, sorry about that.

Here's his buddy's Mustang? parked one space away.

Trust me, it won't get you home.

Shaolin Crane 03-27-2011 07:29 PM

Yeah, guess so. Not exactly what you expect to see in a middle class Torrance neighborhood. These (355 F1 Spyder) aren't super expensive as Ferraris go, but they ain't exactly chump change either. I *think* he said he spent about $62k for it. The most recent service from the previous owner, was like a $10k "refresh".

It's pretty awesome, next time he's going to take me out in it.

And the Vette ain't exactly stock, it's a 402 Twin Turbo with turbo headers that alone are works of art, fabbed up by a guy who does exhaust fab for Indy cars.

I have seen that guys garage before. Cant remember where he lives, but I know I have seen his cars in the garage together before.

Too common round here for me, I am down the street from Irvine BMW and see them all the time.

The Dark Knight 04-18-2011 02:18 PM

Kozak 04-20-2011 02:52 AM

Yea...I prefer the M roadster, not to mention the 2 door M3 is also techincally an M coupe and also the new 1 M coupe, so M Coupe is a stupid name

blackax 04-20-2011 11:31 PM

So I was with my girl tonight an i saw this thing just sitting in the parking lot and i said i need to take a pic of it for this thread and she just gave me "that look" :p

jedhead 04-21-2011 01:27 AM

Used to see these running around Japan when I was growing up there. Subaru 360. Has a 360cc engine mounted in the rear like VW's.
