Thanks Lads. I think we should have a pretty good turnout.

Looks like I will be catching you guys at the T to turn off to palmdale (i live in lancaster) what time would you expect to crossing through there ?

Vettezuki 06-08-2012 04:53 PM

Who knows for sure, but plugin the start address and the T and assume a mile every 80 seconds or so (all things considered) from 12:30~. That's about as close you're going to get I think. I'll be running 10 minutes ahead (hopefully) to set up the camera at the end of the two tunnels.

Chuck 06-09-2012 07:48 AM

Are we going to have an OC convoy up? Meet spot and time?

Vettezuki 06-09-2012 07:09 PM

If you want to swing by my house at 10:30, we can roll together.

Ron was so excited he's been there since today. I'm so excited I'm gonna wash my Vette, it's that serious.

Chuck 06-09-2012 07:48 PM

I am down for that see you at 10:15 ish.

winterftbl 06-09-2012 08:23 PM

where's the oc caravan starting at? I live in orange.

Shaolin Crane 06-09-2012 08:35 PM

I wish I could go :(

Vettezuki 06-09-2012 10:43 PM

Well, no Vette. everything was great, drove all the way to Temecula and back on Ortega, washed it, tanked up, cleaned it up a little more then started it again and it started doing the major shorting stumbling thing again. Fuck me! So we'll either take the Hello Kitty Miata or the Protege.

Chuck 06-09-2012 10:47 PM

Bummer man that sucks what do you think it could be?

Vettezuki 06-10-2012 12:21 AM

My guess is fuel pump, but I'm not positive.

Looks like Aaron and I will be rocking the Hello Kitty Miata.

motochi 06-10-2012 10:36 AM

Got a wash yesterday. Ready to leave Sean in the dust!

Chuck 06-10-2012 08:01 PM

I had fun today bummer about that little oil leak in the Vette stupid rock... hope it isn't too bad to fix.

Had a blast. Too bad for Jerry though. On a lighter note Motochi is faster in his Escape than Sean was in his Cobra.:sm_laughing::rolling:

I had a boss/mentor who was so harsh he said ALL accidents were human failures at some level because of failure to observe, analyze, and correct.

heypal 06-11-2012 02:02 AM

I wouldn't call it an accident as much as I'd call it shit happens. I couldn't go right since I already was to the right and I didn't want to fly over the double yellows. So I hoped the Vette would clear it and well it didn't, shit happens I made my choice and stuck with it.

Vettezuki 06-11-2012 02:05 AM

Nobody died. That's good. Hopefully you weren't stuck up there too long.

94cobra69ss396 06-11-2012 08:39 AM

Nobody doied but I did get a little sunburned.

funevox 06-11-2012 09:00 AM

Been a while since I went to a cruise, glad I made it to this one. Props to you guys, had lots of fun and met some cool peeps. Until next time.

I was just messing with you, it was definitely just bad luck :(

As long as you're up and running for Laguna Seca it doesn't matter :)

Jerry,
I feel bad that a rock ended your day before it was over. We were lockstep the whole way having a great time, then I looked in my side mirror and… nothing. I couldn’t see anyone so I slowed way down, gave it a corner then stopped on the road. Pretty soon a few cars I recognized showed up so we continued. I thought that maybe you’d turned out to change the order but I never thought of a large rock severing your oil-cooler line. I don’t feel as badly about your car getting damaged as I do about leaving you stranded; sorry man. I hope AAA got to you before too long.

Small White Car 06-11-2012 10:17 AM

He was hardly 'stranded' as my group came upon him shortly afterwards and at least consoled him a touch while pushing his injured steed to the roadside and cleaning up the spilled blood, err I mean we shoved his ride off the road and sopped up some oil. As I came back from Wrightwood (yeah, I really just don't like Fuddruckers) I passed him and four or five other cars patiently waiting where we left them. I stopped at Newcombs to put my top up and stretch my legs and saw a guy in a flatbed tooling up the road with a grin that could only mean he was making 'Sunday on the mountain money'...

Hope you got home okay.

It's all good man don't worry about it. You didn't leave me stranded, no one did infact. I had a great time it sucks for the car and my wallet but oh well got to get her ready for laguna seca. The gto did great up there I was impressed by the driving and how it just cruzed up there. And Gil, Christian, Brandon, Jerry B, Jamie and Ron for sitting in the dirt with me for almost 2 hours bsing and watching my tow hook actually get used :sm_laughing:

Hey, I think you and I were following each other for a good ways, I was in the silver 04 GTO. I didn't have a chance to ask you, but what all do you have done to your cobra? Seemed like you had no problem getting through the twisties.

I had a great time, aside from a few morons holding up traffic, we were moving at a fairly quick speed.

firstshadow 06-11-2012 06:42 PM

Excellent drive, except for the unforunate rock grenading causing the James Bond-esque smoke screen. Hope you get the Vette all fixed up before Laguna Seca! :drive:

I'm glad the chinese tires on the C63 were able to keep up in the corners for the most part, though they were a bit understeerish on initial turn in. Definitely getting the Pilot Super Sports for the C32!

So what's up for next month, can we get some Malibu action?

Chuck 06-11-2012 07:12 PM

Next month will be a Nicks meet in Fullerton usually the second Saturday. We may be able to get a cruise in before though.

Vettezuki 06-11-2012 07:15 PM

July Nick's
August GMR
September Nick's
October Malibu
November Nick's
December Mission Inn

Redondo Jon 06-11-2012 07:24 PM

Ahh, GMR yes! :penguin:
