Hmmm, what brand, spring rate, etc?

jedhead 12-15-2010 12:50 AM

When I dropped off my car over at Spectre Performance they had a new toy they bought. 2007 Black on Black GT500 with 7K miles. The dual-dually push truck was there along with the El Camino. I will see if they will let me take some pics.

Nicely done, but still retarded.

Californians can't drive in the rain.

Redondo Jon 12-20-2010 03:37 AM

How do you even do that?

enkeivette 12-20-2010 01:26 PM

Oversteer, and get the front end caught on the bank while the car is still moving sideways?

Vettezuki 01-01-2011 12:50 AM

So I was at my friend's house today to retune my computer for new larger injectors and sort out a problem, when he offers to show me a new addition to his stable. As we stand before the garage door, about to open, I'm thinking Harley, maybe a new Camaro next to the Vette project car, then he's "man, it's really a buyer's market out there."

Yeah, guess so. Not exactly what you expect to see in a middle class Torrance neighborhood. These (355 F1 Spyder) aren't super expensive as Ferraris go, but they ain't exactly chump change either. I *think* he said he spent about $62k for it. The most recent service from the previous owner, was like a $10k "refresh".

It's pretty awesome, next time he's going to take me out in it.

And the Vette ain't exactly stock, it's a 402 Twin Turbo with turbo headers that alone are works of art, fabbed up by a guy who does exhaust fab for Indy cars.

I think he said if you want to take a ride on a rocket ship, you take the Vette, if you want to go out with a princess, you take the Ferrari. I look forward to having these choices. :smack:

More like... don't buy fabtech.

Shaolin Crane 01-24-2011 01:04 AM

Nope, its a common problem with chevy trucks. Saw 3 of them like this at pismo

enkeivette 01-24-2011 10:44 AM

Well the first one looked like the upper BJ which would have been aftermarket on a lifted truck. But that looks like the steering tie rod... can't make an excuse for that. Eek. He's lucky he didn't roll.

Shaolin Crane 01-24-2011 05:29 PM

Thats was from a trip in 07 with the powerstroke forums, most of the links from the other trucks has died, 1 had the same issue as the one i posted, the other one broke the lower control arm.

enkeivette 01-24-2011 05:33 PM

Damn.

Nope. My pics of the Ferrari California and Lotus are from there too. Our biz is on the other side, next to the Tanning Salon, across from 24 Hour Fitness.

kdracer73 02-25-2011 12:10 PM

NWS ! I think these V10 R8 s are sooo sexy...

kdracer73 02-27-2011 12:32 PM

I had a guy come in and drop off his 64 Impala lowrider for some work a few months ago.

I saw him in dreadlocks and tattoos, and thought he looked rockstar. I Googled the name on the RO and it was Reggie , the bass player for Korn. :lhdevil:

He called last week and wanted to come by and see what was wrong with his gas pedal. I was surprised when he pulled in with a piece if string tied to the carb, through the vent window as his throttle. Impressive !

enkeivette 03-01-2011 05:20 PM

Sweet, Korn is badass.

Chuck 03-01-2011 08:32 PM

Ya'll want a single say F**k that! Korn kicks ass!!!

Shaolin Crane 03-02-2011 08:49 AM

Sometimes i have Korn in my crap
