I read an article the other day that about 70,000 years ago, the Toba super volcano erupted and dimmed the skies around the world for a few years when the planet was already entering an icea age. The resulting loss in plant and anmial productivity (we were hunter gatherers) dropped so significantly that some geneticists believe the entire human population . . . of Earth, may have gone as low as forty (40!) breeding pairs. It took thousands of years for the population to recover.

Yeah wtf is going on???

Shaolin Crane 10-29-2012 12:21 AM

I dunno. It's not just as because socal stangs has been getting hit hard too.

fiveohwblow 10-29-2012 12:23 AM

Strange. Rather annoying.

Vettezuki 10-29-2012 12:55 AM

They're everywhere. I've been clearing them out too. This is despite the fact we upgraded the CAPTCHA just today.

Our base system is fairly old, and there's probably some exploits we don't even really know about. vBulletin 5, which is radically different than our current system is now available and we're moving to it. A lot of things are going to be changing.

Shaolin Crane 10-29-2012 01:03 AM

Please tell me that's not the same layout as stangnet. Cause if it is, I FUCKING hate it. So much so I refuse to post on it. I'm not alone in my feelings

Vettezuki 10-29-2012 01:29 AM

No.

We make what we want, but use base code. That's why MG, for better and worse is different than all other sites. The biggest main things it will help us with is dealing with media in a more coherent manor. And providing a base from which we can make the garage/rides look and work a hell of a lot better.

Motorgen has more hidden features than most sites have features! We just don't have enough time to make them swing.

Me too.

Vettezuki 10-29-2012 05:42 PM

I pay for anything that solves a problem or a need better than other available options. Though the only App I think I've paid for is Torque.

Shaolin Crane 10-29-2012 06:33 PM

Someone just low-balled me on my MAF I have for sale and said I didn't have to give a "rude" response when I told him hell no. Come on people, man the fuck up when you low-ball. This isn't a childs sport, expect to get the most vile shit from people when you try it.

Vettezuki 10-29-2012 06:45 PM

Did he offer you actual money or belly button lint?

Shaolin Crane 10-29-2012 07:13 PM

Actual money but far less then my asking price

Vettezuki 10-29-2012 07:37 PM

You shouldda said, "I like your style, but fuck off."

Shaolin Crane 10-29-2012 08:01 PM

I Don't have an issue being low-balled, I have an issue when someone can't do it like a man and turns into a whiney bitch when someone is "rude"

N8Dogg98 10-30-2012 09:08 AM

There are so many damn crooks in Commiefornia... job security FTMFW!

Same thin happened to me with a set of wheels... I had them up for a good price $300+ ship and a guy offered me $200 but I was to pay shipping. I told him to fuck off and he reported me to a moderator...problem was the mod was a good friend of mine and he banned him cuz the forum had a rule that you weren't allowed to offer less than 10% off the listed price. :smack:

enkeivette 11-07-2012 11:54 PM

You reasonable horsepower advocates don't know what you're missing... Damn that car is fast. :D:drive:

It sounds confused too, lumpy V8 with a fluttering blow off valve. Haha

Ryridesmotox 11-08-2012 12:38 AM

which car? Yours?

enkeivette 11-08-2012 01:35 AM

Ya, my Vette. I mean its not a 9 second car, but its the fastest car Ive been in. Its fun just to press the throttle... loves it

Never said I didnt like power, I said I didnt like building a car that would tear itself apart. Like my truck did, I knew it was coming if I kept driving it the way I did, and guess what, boom.

94cobra69ss396 11-08-2012 09:53 AM

We all know that if Guy didn't have to smog his Blue car that it would be making a lot more horsepower with a 351W based combo. I'd do the same with the Cobra.

Shaolin Crane 11-08-2012 10:23 AM

I'd only make as much horsepower as I could afford to use. No need to make 800rwhp if i'm afraid to drive the car because the trans will grenade, axles snap, control arms break or running the sump dry. I like to build my cars in a useable window. The blue car and the gray car are both perfect examples of this, my diesel, well that was my lesson.
