Guy likes it rough. Plus he is pretty good at finding deals. I'll give him that. I haven't been in this market for a while so I suspect it might be down a little from when I was in it, but $1,500 for LS+T56 (you know, together not a couple scattered bits and pieces) and several, not just one temporary outlier from a desperation sale, smelled like crackhead territory.

PS, the $2400 motor is hydrolocked. So really what we've got on ebay is $4800-5500

Thats a fantastic price, I spent $1200 on my trans... although in Guys defense, LT1 T56s go for a lot more than LS1 T56s.
