After I install my new trans, new transfer case and a new front drivers side axle on the Explorer it's next mod will be a set of these for the rear. They are King 2.5 triple bypass shocks with 12 inches of travel.

MMMMMMM I want a set of those for my truck
|
I should have them this week but the only problem is one of them was damaged in a wreck. They were on my buddies old race truck and they had a head on collision. He already valved the other for my Explorer but I'll have to get the parts to fix the other one. It should be a lot cheaper to fix it though than to buy a new one that cost around $850.

This is my next mod on my SVO going on Wednesday. Will take pics when it is installed, hopefully i can get a good camera to take some vids. Also getting a full 3' exhaust fabbed up, turbo coupe rear end installed and some bucket seats. I will post pics of the work when i get it done. Pics should be up this Friday night/ Saturday morning.

Why a turbo coupe rear? The SVO is already 5 lug and disc if im not mistaken right?
|
Oh, and my next mod seems to be a TKO for the fox, once I have that its just a handful of items until the car isnt crippled anymore.

The turbo coupe is an 8.8 with 3:55 gears and slightly larger discs if I'm not mistaken. Just wanna stay on the safe side and not have to change out another 7.5 rear end (Already murdered 1). |

From what I've read on the other SVO sites im a member of, the Turbo Coupe rear end is a direct bolt in with no modifications. I'm going to make sure to check though. I heard the only ones that need modification are the ones that come off rangers and explorers and that they need to be shortened. If i find that it needs some work, I'll just hold off and get a rear end off a 94+ Gt like you said. Are you planning on going to fabulous fords Ron? |
When is Fabulous Fords this year?
