Was looking forward to seeing another S197 out there. Maybe next time!

I'll meet up with you guys at the info station at the junction of Angeles Crest and Angeles Forest. I'm in a flat black Miata.

You didn't miss anything. The road was closed or something and the group just fell apart and went home.

^ The road was not closed, and about 20 of us went on a very good drive. What happened is that there were about 4 CHP officers waiting at the Intersection where you can either go straight and it will take you up to Upper Big Tujunga, or go right and it will take you to ACH. They were giving no front plate tickets to everyone. Once about 10 cars had gotten stopped, everyone else behind panicked and took off. After everyone who was left either got their ticket, or got through, we contemplated going back down the hill to let everyone know that it was ok, but we just continued on as you guys were already gone.

After that incident, everything went fine, and it was a great drive.

So as long as you had a front plate, you DID miss something.
