Sooooo, before they all go out of business, which one of these 3 cars would you most want to have the keys to?

Not only is it psychotically fast, but by all accounts, even Jeremy Clarkson, is a docile and livable GT.

Stock for stock I think I'd take the ZR1. If I could mod, I'd probably take the Ford GT, but rules are rules :sm_laughing:

Another vote for the GT. Fast as hell and imho, the best looking of the bunch!

I had to go for the Viper.

GT is the best looking, but it's slow. it get walked my a z06 much less a Zr1.

ZR1 Definately the most advanced and fastest in a straight line, but the polycarbonate window is too cheesy for me. Also, at 638 hp GM needs to come with much more agressive rubber.

ACR fastest around anything with corners. Least refined, but it I was looking for refinement I'd buy a mercedes.

The window is definitely a bit cheesy, unnecessarry, and probably adds quite a bit of production cost, but it's not thaaat bad IMO. You can change your own rubber so to speak, if you need something a bit stickier. The ZR1 puts up very stout numbers with its DD rubber. And finally, if I were going for refinement, a whole lot of things would come before a Merc. :smack:

I'd go with the Viper because I don't really like the look of the new GTs. And the ZR1 looks too much like a... Corvette. If I were to buy a Super Corvette it would need to look more like a Super Car. Like the C6RS.

Now if this were between a C6RS and a Viper I'd go with the Corvette.

Ford GT, I know it is slower in every way than either of the 2 cars but I love the way the GT looks. So much different then anything in Fords stable. Besides, I am a Ford guy. The ZR1 does look like another trim package of a Vette. The Viper is much more different than a stock Viper, but the still not enough appeal for me not grab a GT. I LOVE all 3 though. Good old American power and engineering!!!

I agree, but only to a certain extent. A 93 mph slider is never slow or easy to hit, a genuinely fast car is never going to feel "slow". You adapt, sure, but if you're driving these kind of cars up towards their limits (basically impossible on the streets anyway) you're never going to be bored. Seriously, my Vette *only* puts down about 390 to the wheels. On the streets I can be in go to jail speed in well under 10 seconds.

I think where you get most used to speed is at the drag strip. I know there are lots of people here who in their earlier days thought 14 seconds was fast, now think 11 seconds is fairly pedestrian. But that's not driving a high performance car on the streets.

I get your point, and I agree, but 11 seconds will never be pedestrian. You'll never consider a car that can press you back in the seat to be... pedestrian. And although cars become more refined and ripe everyday, you'll never hop in an econo box that will be able to push you back in your seat. That's just not the sort of thing that will ever be unleashed on the general public.

Viper ACR for me... Don't like the look of that vette, but I do like the c6R... THe ford GT is absolutely gorgeous... I love that car as well... but I really love a car that can really handle... the ACR would be my choice...
