We broke 500 Members today
Pretty exciting stuff - I remember when we started the site I was happy to just have 5 Members. Thanks to everyone we've met over the years - it's great to find so many other car lovers in the area. If any of you have any friends you want to refer, please do it. Let's see if we can get to 1000 by my birthday in March

It's been a slog, but coming together. Check the pics, I think 2004 OC Auto Show was the first show we took pics from.

Good thing this is not a club. "I would not join a club that would have me as a member".
I've really enjoyed hangin with you guys. Some of you are pretty smart and can even keep up.:judge::rolling::censored:
Actually, all the guys I have met at Motorgen functions have been a great bunch. I'm not much about functions, but I try not to miss any of the Motorgen stuff. They are that great. Groups usually bore me--not the MG guys.

Hopefully. But as we move into the winter, turnout is inherently lower. Also, we'd have to find a place with a single lot owned by someone friendly. We'll investigate options to be ready for this eventuality.

Anyone smart enough to appreciate the business should be friendly. How about Tony's pizza on Bastanchury and Placentia? Pizza is sooo good, and the lot is connected with the Von's lot, usually pretty vacant.

That's an excellent idea. It's also really close to the freeway. Is that lot lit?

The problem is "loitering" in shared large shared lots. Nicks is a single privately owned lot, we've had zero trouble. They're happy to have us and we can stay for hours. Not so at In'N'Out, Sonics, McDonalds, etc. Someone somewhere, whether another business, security or even police gets their nose out of joint and just has to raise a fuss. Most people just don't want to have any trouble from any security/police at all, so they just leave and don't come back to future events. It's got to be secured and guaranteed or it just won't work as a regular meet.
Anyway, this isn't a problem yet, and likely won't be for a little while as the colder days and Holidays roll around. Nick's is also convenient because it's right off a major Fwy Junction in the heart of SoCal. The fact it's 90 seconds from myself is totally secondary. :) It's also nice to fill a small/medium lot than to just be 50-60 cars in a giant lot. Of course if gets to the major overflow, then we gotta figure something else out and Tony's sounds like a good candidate.
