It's like a mini-Camaro . . . sorta. It'd be a hoot to put a modern Turbo I4 in one of these. There's tons of suspension and aftermarket stuff for them. This would be a fun project car.

No, no like an Evo. I was thinking of putting a turbo busa in a 914 though. I figure you could get the weight down to like 1,500lbs. At and easy screaming 300hp that'd be a hoot. I think a 13B (JDM Rotary) would also be cool in a 914. :smack:

With twin turbos!

I've seen one of these with a small block Chevy in it. He was at a cruise night years ago so I never saw it run but I would think it would be like dropping one in a Vega.

I was at my friend's house standing outside and I heard this loud V8 vehicle coming around the corner, thought it was going to be a lifted truck with an exhaust system. Turned out to be a little white 914 with a SBC. He lives in YL, thing must be a blast to drive.

Is there some reason this is in the motorcycle section? I'd move it but I don't want to upset the forum Gods.

I think I've rolled up on that 914 when on my bike. It's pretty mean sounding. Uh, didn't I put this in the 4 Wheel section? It was pretty late and I was doing other things at the same time.

Thanks man, unfortunately I don't have a lot of pics right now. The reason I'm using the 239 in because I can stuff it in there without having to make too serious of modifications to the car, it's powerful even bone stock, and it's the most reliable engine I've had any experience with. I figure when I'm done with the engine it should have around 400 horses ;)
