Hey guys,
I figure most of us are going to the LA Auto Show so I thought I'd try to arrange a group trip. The show runs from Friday, November 21 — Sunday, November 30, 2008. I'm thinking of maybe going on a day after work. I think you can make it through the show if it isn't crowded in about two hours. How about either Monday the 24, Tuesday the 25th, or Wednesday the 26th as options? We could meet at like 6:30 to avoid traffic as much as possible and then hit the show for a couple hours and be out by 9:30 or so. Thoughts?
Alright guys, we're going to go to the LA Auto Show on the night of Tuesday, November 25th at 6:30 P.M. Here is the link on the calendar. (http://www.motorgen.com/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=1178&day=2008-11-26) It should be a good time, I'll see you all there :judge:

Not sure, but I think we'll need two cars. Probably like 5-7 people I'd imagine. As for tickets, I have to call Mike but I think I can get some free ones. I'll let everyone know by this weekend.

Not sure on how many people, but I'm thinking 15 or less? I'm going to drive the Escape tomorrow, it will seat 5. I'm hoping Vettezuki will bring his Protege (which will also seat 5) and that Keith will bring his Explorer. If we have more than 15 people we may just have to bite the bullet and drive a 4th car. I guess we'll see. Are the drivers I listed up for this tomorrow?

For those of you that didn't go (I'm not one for group events) I actually enjoyed myself. If you get the chance to go to the show, it will be worth it.

You DO know I do not BLAME you for the traffic.:leaving:
So what did you think of the 2010 Mustang? The rear was not THAT bad.
I liked the new Mustang a lot overall. It's not something I'd get rid of the Cobra for, but I wouldn't mind having one as a daily if I ever had more money, LOL.

What's money?
I really liked the F150 Raptor. That is some truck. Straight from the show room to the Baja 1000.
So now I'm getting the Camaro SS, the 2010 Mustang GT and the Raptor. So I'll be needing a loan......................:drive::lhdevil::bandit:

Okay I'm going to say it I thought overall the show was dissapointing. New mustang looks good from the front like ass from the rear, raptor will perform well but looks like crap seriously who signed off on that front grill, 7series gay, acura gay, g8 gxp not worth the money at all. Ctsv was nice and the zr1, audi always nice ferrari and lambo. That turbo focus that was there wasn't bad and the flex was nice also. Camaro was cool exhaust was gay lol but the car was cool, that v6 hyundia coupe was nice and the gtr isn't all that ugly in person just a waste of money. Oh and the sti's look like crap.

Ovedrall the show was ok. I would have liked about 2 more hours to crusie through it. I did not even get downstairs to the aftermarket. I like the mustang. I love the Raptor (grill may need a little dress up). Only a few over cars really caught my eye. The Camaro and Vette were nice. Cadillac is doing stuff right. I would love to drive a new Dodge Ram around with the new rear suspension set-up with no leaf springs, but a 5 link (thought I overheard the pitchman say that) and a coil over the axel. Ford also had a pretty nice euro car there called the Fiesta or something like that (may be coming to the US in 2010/2011) and it looked pretty snazzy. I will probably be working on pics with Sean this weekend, but unfortunately there are not more. The battery in Alexis's camera die pretty quick.

I don't think he minded that much. I followed him out, when we left the show and when we FINALLY got to the FWY, he was gone. I thought I would catch him in the traffic, didn't happen. I figured he would run slow with his dad with him. Nope.:rolleyes2:

Still though. I woudl have hated the drive. Clutch in, gear, move up 2 feet, cluch in, out of gear. (repeat that by 400 times probably and i would have shoot myself) I hate L.A. I stay away from it as much as i can i hate the city and its street and the traffic that it has.

I haven't looked at it yet. BUT!!! The engine is locked up and their was oil all over the rear of the car. There was a TON of engine oil under the car where it sat on the FWY. I'm NOT fixing it.:nutkick:

Yea, that would be great. Here's what I'm up against:
Darlene has no car now, is out of work, and is about to lose her house.
She is VERY depressed . She worked for Washington Mutual for 8 years-you all know what happened there.
They have cut my work hours and my money is really short.
I need to find a CHEAP vehicle NOW. I want to get her someway to get around.
If ANYBODY knows of a cheap running vehicle, please let me know. Thanks.

We could have a T-bird party. We can either put in another engine or take the whole Vehicle apart. :sm_laughing:
All I want is the 8.8 diff to put in the Vette. Yes. it might be doable.
Just for fun-- a used 4.6 is there such a thing?

Send a PM to Corn Fed (you know who I"m talking about.). I think he cleans out houses that are foreclosed on and sometimes there's abandoned things like cars you could probably pick up for almost nothing. . . literally.
