It looks kinda sorta like an old GOlf, but it's totally different. Can be practical, somewhat fuel effecient, and absurdly fast if you want. I couldn't find any for sale, but I've seen very clean ones with lots of go-fast work for under $6k.

Nice big dumb simple American muscle. Pre smog so you have a free hand.

Yea, really. I offered him $800.00 and he did hesitate for a second, then said no. It runs and is all there. 350 auto trans. Good project car. With a little work-at least for me- it could be a daily driver.:p

:smack: I sold my Mr2 Turbo 2 years ago for $2500.00 it was a 12 sec car (huge turbo upgrade) but the Apxi boost controller fail during and street pass and the motor hit over 30 psi and lol it was never the same. Sold it to go back to Mustangs.

Now a days you can get a clean and already blown fox body for $6000.00 just do some research for sure and check the work. thats what I would get anyways.

Very good choice. 6K for a fast track ready car is a steal. But the more I think about this, the more I'm thinking that a 300hp Camaro is already 150hp too fast for my little brother.

A guy offered to paint my car for 2 grand and a different color (sonic blue for 2 grand) i would spend 3 because i would tell him to put extra care on the body work and a couple coats of clear. Plus 2 grand for the SSR GT3 Rims i have been diying to put on there. That should about do it.

I like your thinking. I think if I had 6k to do my car up, I'd have 03SonicSVT paint it, put a Whipple on, put in a new clutch and have Greg tune it. The car would be pretty much perfect at that point :bigthumbsup: I'd also eventually love to put some FR500 rims on too.

I would go with what many are saying ( now that i read the thread) Fox body stang. 89 to be exsact since it does not have the steering wheel with the airbag and it still comes with MAF and not speed dencity. Plus usually a fox body for 6 grand come with a whole bag of goodies on it already.

The '88 fox body also came with MAF as long as it was a California car.
