I submit my pick for the ultimate daily driver:
2010 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG
5.5L SOHC Twin Turbo V12
604hp
738ft/lb
11.975@118mph 1/4mile
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/autoshows/shanghai/2009/2010mercedesbenzs63s65amgnews.mercedess65amg1.img. jpg
http://image.motortrend.com/f/auto-news/mercedes-benz-consumer-website-reveals-2010-s63-s65-amg-sedans/18292551+cr1+re0+ar1/2010-mercedes-benz-s65-amg.jpg
Smooth, comfortable, roomy, and ridiculously fast. I also like it better than the Maybach. I think it looks better and is a little more stealth. If I were going more exotic (or 2 door) I would pick one of these three:
Bentley Continental GT
http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/uploads/continental_gt_stage2.jpg
Rolls Royce 200EX
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/10-rolls-royce-200ex-official_580op.jpg
Aston Martin Rapide
http://www.autonet.hr/userdocsimages/Premijere/Aston%20Martin%20Rapide/Aston-Martin-Rapide-1024x768.jpg
I think the maintenance and reliability would be way more on any of those though than the Mercedes.

Brabus SV12 R drops a tuned twelve-cylinder engine producing 750 HP and an astonishing 995 lb-ft of torque between the rails of the 2010 Mercedes S-Class. That'll take the luxury barge from 0-to-epic in just under four seconds.

Seriously though, would it have killed them to squeeze another 5 ft/lbs of torque out of that brute?

lol, well another 5tq would just make the ESP flash all the more... or make your tires vanish into [smokey] thin air
on a side note... somebody's posts seem to be a bit more on the Euro AMG side of things as of late... ah-oh :D

I was thinking more the along the lines of a larger, comfort oriented vehicle. It's hard to argue with your choice though :p

The English cars really stand out to me as having more class. The German cars are just thugs.

For some reason I just can't get into the Carrera GT. I'd much rather have a Ferrari.

Still way better than a Brabus with a gym in the back seat. I was debating picking a Ferrari over the Porsche, it's a toss up for me.

Sexy, but I'd still go for the Porsche.
Realistically, on a not so modest but more realistic budget, a new black Corvette would get my vote for the ultimate DD. Comfy, sexy, fast, amazing handling and braking with killer mileage in 6th gear.

A guy in my same work plaza drives this car everyday. I don't even think he's 30 yet. His parents bought it for him for managing the family business(coffee shop). I believe his is a Vantage... I think.
Edit - My ultimate DD would be a Lotus Elise.

That must be a hell of a coffee shop. Any connection to the Dietrich family or Keane coffee perhaps?
Aston Martin can actually hook you up with some pretty specialized financing. For example, 12 year fixed at relatively low rates, say 7%. If it's a slightly used one it will probably be in the low 100s and the monthly cost might *only* be $800 give or take, depending on down payment.

In that case, Ill trade the Goat in for the new Vantage or DB9 this weekend!

May be a small chain. I vaguely remember a Cha for Tea across the street from UCI. (Cha is Japanese for Tea.)

Ferrari 599GTB with the HGTE Sport Package. Don't think it gets much better than that. . .

Let's face it, the 80-82 Corvette is pretty special. But there is a bit more going on with the 599. :smack:

Body styling alone, I think the front of that Ferrari is kinda ugly. Give me some resin and matte, I'll fix it. :p
