Hey guys,

I have been talking to Tyler (Blacknboostn) about doing a trip to the K1 go karts for some time now. We have decided we want to try to do it on Sunday, October 4th if we can get enough people together. We are thinking a group between 10 and 20 people would be a good number. It would be $15.99 for a 10 lap race. Everyone I know who has done it says it's a blast.

I added a poll for which location to go to. They each have slightly difference features. This is Irvine (http://www.k1speed.com/irvine-location.html), and this is Anaheim. (http://www.k1speed.com/anaheim-location.html) Afterword we are thinking we could go to the beach or to a park and BBQ or something. Any suggestions are welcome :)

I believe this is for a 12 lap race and 15.99 is accurate.

Kera and I will definitely be going and I'm sure I can get at least another 4-6 people to come.

Sean, can we move this to the event thread?

I am down. I might even be able to get Shannon to come. We had a blast last time we went to Boomer and race each other. I can look into a group thing if we have enough interest, Sean we will talk tomorrow.

I'm tentatively in. Adam, all things being equal you know we'll almost automatically lose to the feather weights right? Still fun though. :smack: Just don't power brake through corners, they don't like that. :sm_up_there:

Yesssss sounds like we'll have a good crew coming along! K1 info:

Electric karts capable of 40ish mph. Helmet required.

I think we should have a good turnout.

Can I bring my own full face car certified helmet? It just fits me nice.

Sean and I were discussing the possibility of having a little friendly bet.

Winner gets the rights to an avatar that states you won.
Loser gets an avatar that states "you lost to x."

So Kera, that means you better kick some booty so all the boys have to have an avatar that says they lost to a girl!!! :P

I was hoping to be able to join in on the fun but we have a little bit of "precious cargo" on board and am prohibited from partaking in such fun. But I will however be armed and ready with my camera to catch the winner.

Let the games begin.

My vote is for Irvine, We can go to the district or something after we race. Of course if we go to the One in Anaheim we can go to Taboo and get a lap dance after the race. :drink:

Fine. I'm bring some NO2 then. And flat tires just happen some times.

Adam, I don't know about your girlfriend but my wife has a pretty strict no lap dancing policy.

This is still on i believe, ticket prices at costco are 15.99 someone with a membership will have to pick them up... OR you pay about 20 bucks. There is a 5 dollar yearly membership cost, forgot to mention that.

We just did this as a club in SoCal Muscle in Carlsbad, to say it was a blast is an understatement. If you want some freindly competition reserve a GP time and you do practice laps, qualifying and a race, they even do a ceremony and give away prizes.
Just my .02 have fun..!!

I do not think Shannon would have a problem with it. Never asked though. She would probably say something like, "why go and pay for it when I will..." I think I should stop right there.

I have a membership and so does Sean.

Just went back to costco last night and they have no more tickets, that makes it 20 bucks a race. I'm still going :)

The GP is awesome. We did it for Chucks Bach party. It was close to 60 bucks, but the money was well spent. All our lap time kept gettin better each race. I was sore for three days !:crutches:

Final details are forthcoming. I think we'll do dinner afterwards. I got busy moving some stuff out of the babies future room last night and didn't get around to this.

Wait till the baby is born, you lose all time to do anything.
